Expressway is the only way to go for your DJ, karaoke, and photobooth needs! Huge shoutout to DJ Sabrina—we’ve had her two years in a row and she’s been amazing every time. Seamless setup and breakdown, great energy, and everything runs smoothly from start to finish. Highly recommend!
Dave gave us so much positive energy and guidance to putting together a unique, nontraditional wedding reception. Custom lighting, sound effects, mic cues all came together perfectly with his keen attention to detail! Not to mention how nobody wanted to leave the dance floor - we can’t recommend Dave enough!
We were so happy with Expressway! Dave was a pleasure to communicate with in planning for our son’s b-mitzvah. As he promised, DJ Greg was wonderful and he received a lot of compliments from our guests! DJ Greg paid close attention to the notes Dave shared from our planning conversation and he checked in throughout the evening to make sure he was playing and doing what we all wanted. (I’ve never before seen a DJ engage in this way.) Even though my son said he wouldn’t dance, DJ Greg had him and his friends happily on the dance floor the whole time. The trivia game that Dave suggested went great, as did the overall music selection, the horah, and the line dances. We’re very happy, and we can’t thank Expressway enough!
We went with DJ Dave and Expressway Music for our NYC wedding and could not have been happier! It was an absolute pleasure working with him throughout the whole process. From the very beginning, we were impressed by Dave's excellent communication. He was extremely responsive over email and answered all of our questions promptly. When we met with him over Zoom, he won us over immediately with his warm personality, professionalism, and clear passion for his work. He asked us all the right questions about our wedding and musical tastes and made us feel confident that we were in capable experienced hands. He was also very flexible, collaborative, and easy to work with—accommodating our various requests at different stages of the process. On top of that, his rates were very fair and reasonable compared to the competition. During the wedding, Dave did a phenomenal job selecting music and getting people up on the dance floor. He was great at reading the energy of the room and made smart decisions on the fly. When we decided to add a live pianist for the ceremony and cocktail hour, he recommended Richard from their roster of musicians. Wow, what a great choice! Richard is a very talented and expressive pianist and made our ceremony even more special. We had chosen a few pieces that were off the beaten path, but were delighted to learn that Richard was already very familiar with them! On the wedding day he played a beautiful medley that transitioned seamlessly from one to the other. We had an incredible night and absolutely recommend DJ Dave, Richard, and Expressway Music!
Last September, we had the privilege of hiring DJ Sergio and he turned our wedding into a dance-fueled extravaganza that none of our guests (or my feet) will ever forget. From the moment the music started, DJ Sergio’s magic took over. He was also incredibly nice and respectful, especially considering the diverse mix of traditions at our celebration—Catholic and Jewish—and even got my usually reserved older Filipino relatives on the dance floor. Sergio didn’t just “play music.” He created an incredible vibe that I, the bride, found myself in an unforeseen conundrum: how to take a break from the dance floor to freshen up for photos and rest my feet without missing just one more song! Everything was just fantastic. Expressway Music has been around for over 30 years, and it’s easy to see why. Their professionalism, experience, and ability to read a room are unmatched. The owner, David, is also the kindest human being you will ever meet. You just know he cares about your special day as if it were his own. So when it comes to your special event, trust me—this is the only DJ company you want in your corner. If you want your guests raving about your wedding long after the lights go out, call Expressway Music. Just make sure you have comfortable shoes because you won’t want to sit down either!
