The best Napoleons! And if you, like us, are craving one and Farkas is closed, no need to scour the internet like I did to find somewhere — anywhere! — that carries them… Heinen’s in Rocky River had plenty in stock!
This place is excellent. The Neapolitan is surprisingly good, even for someone who doesn't usually like it. The lemon squares are tasty, and the apple linzer was a standout with a great tartness and not too sweet. Just a heads up: parking and traffic can be challenging in this neighborhood. It's best to park a few blocks away and walk—it's worth it!
You know a place is going to be excellent when a random older lady tells you to try it. And boy, was i glad I took her advice. Their Napoleon is probably the best thing in the whole entire world! The guy working there was really nice and helpful, too. I can't wait to try everything!
Wonderful. Fortuitously stopped by on my way out of the West Side Market. I was impressed by the selection of familiar favorites with some seasonal additions. I get my father a Hungarian nut roll every Chrisfmas, and this lovely shop allowed me not only to elaborate upon that theme with pumpkin kremes, and other delights, but also to practice my (very rudimentary) Hungarian and purchase a cookbook. I love this shop. They made our holiday very special and I will go out of my way to return whenever I'm in Cleveland or even passing by. If there are ever any shirts for purchase, I know a guy who would love one.
I absolutely loved this place, and I would be in serious trouble if I lived closer because no doubt I would go almost daily. 😅 What's not to love? A stones throw from the West Side Market, friendly service from the gentleman behind the counter, and the Krémes (Napoleon) was absolutely divine. As good, if not better, than the kremsnita I've had in Slovenia. Not only would I absolutely return, but I would go out of my way to do so. I would also encourage anyone I know that visits Cleveland to stop here and get a kréme!
