Fleur de Lis School provided our son and our family the most incredible experience we could have ever asked for. In our 2 years there, we watched our son grow immensely in his confidence, relationships, and overall love of learning. He was sad to leave school every day and excited to wake up and start the day with his amazing friends and teachers. The approach and philosophy that Fleur de Lis takes truly allows each child to blossom in their own unique and beautiful way and we not only got to experience this with our son, but saw it with his classmates as well. We saw our son make presentations to his class about a science or art project he did with us at home or proudly present his show and tell Spider-man toy to his classmates - we are so grateful to the entire Fleur de Lis community for encouraging this level of self-esteem and individuality. The staff at Fleur de Lis is truly one of a kind -  the professional, yet individualized attention of Tina Smith and April Kozelh as directors is amazing. They know your child personally and do everything in their power to make your child's experience at Fleur de Lis enriching and creative. Our son still talks about Ms. Tina coming into their classroom and reading them special books (his favorite was about an owl in NYC) and Tina consistently shared specific memories of our son's social and emotional growth during his time there. The teachers we had at Fleur de Lis (Ms. Sandy, Ms. Chelsea, Ms. Amber, Ms. Kiara and Ms. Diana for Spanish) were incredible in every way - we appreciated the attention to the holistic needs of each child - the cognitive, physical, and emotional were all given attention and we saw our son blossom in each area. The day our son "graduated" Fleur de Lis School was a bittersweet one - we were thrilled to know he was ready for kindergarten, but also so sad to say goodbye to the daily moments of this special community. Our son couldn't stop hugging his amazing teacher Ms. Sandy at the singing show - clearly showing the same emotions we felt as parents.

Notre expérience ici a été incroyable ! Fleur De Lis est vraiment un endroit spécial - le joyau caché parmi les écoles préscolaires de San Diego. Le personnel et les enseignants sont exceptionnels et considèrent chaque enfant comme un individu. Notre fils s’est pratiquement senti comme un membre de la famille élargie du personnel. En tant que famille moderne avec deux papas, il était important pour nous que notre fils fréquente une école qui valorise la diversité et accueille et célèbre notre situation familiale unique. Depuis la toute première visite jusqu'à la fête d'adieu de notre fils, nous nous sommes toujours sentis en sécurité et bienvenus à FDL — tant du côté du personnel que des autres familles — et nous recommanderions vivement l'école comme la meilleure de San Diego !

Fleur De Lis is an amazing school. Our oldest daughter has been going here for over two years now and our youngest daughter is lucky enough to be starting this fall. The teachers and the school provide a warm, loving, creative, and educational environment for little children. The school feels like home and the staff feel like an extension of our family. The curriculum is exciting and interesting and the Pre-K program does a wonderful job of preparing the children for their transition to kindergarten. Our daughter loves going to school each and everyday!

Notre fils a commencé chez Fleur De Lis juste avant son troisième anniversaire. Nous étions très préoccupés par la transition des soins à domicile vers un environnement de garderie/école, mais dès le premier jour nous avons ressenti le soutien et l'amour de tout le personnel et des autres familles présentes. Ils vont bien au-delà pour non seulement répondre aux demandes diététiques quotidiennes de votre enfant, mais aussi en adaptant les besoins émotionnels/physiques/éducatifs/comportementaux de chaque enfant avec compassion et grâce. Nous sommes profondément reconnaissants d'avoir été acceptés au sein de la FABULEUSE famille Fleur De Lis et nous sommes convaincus que notre fils bénéficie du meilleur départ possible dans la vie.

I came into the preschool experience thinking "every preschool is the same; they all read books, take naps, sing songs and play." Fleur De Lis School shows me each and every day that there is a big difference between preschools. The teachers truly love the children. There is room for each child to be an individual and learn skills in his/her own time. There is a dedicated curriculum for each class that far exceeds what other preschools are offering. My daughter's pediatrician sent her children to the school (and her children went to the best colleges in the country). She was so excited when I shared that I was becoming a part of the Fleur De Lis family because she knew what that meant for the happiness and development of my child. Finally, I teach at one of the top independent schools in San Diego. Many of my students attended Fleur De Lis and are thriving on our campus. The teachers encourage the students to be good citizens, independent thinkers and problem-solvers, caring individuals, and intelligent students. I would highly recommend Fleur De Lis School!
