Absolutely wonderful experience. From the staff to the food - loved it all. I was on the hunt for a solid vodka sauce pasta and I definitely found it. Best I've had in a long time, maybe ever. Love the nduja they incorporate for a nice, light kick. Caesar salad was great. Bread service was also very good. The bread was fresh and the tapenade was yummy (olive blend). End the meal with tiramisu which was nice and fluffy. This was seriously the best pasta I've had since going to Italy and I'm still thinking about it. Can't wait to keep coming back here and trying my way through the menu because everything sounds solid. They also have a vegan menu that also even called my eyes! Parking is going to be all street parking. Very limited amount of spots right in front. Will likely have to park in the neighborhood or in the corner lot if you go late when the other businesses are closed.
Waiters are WICKED Italian. Environment is cozy and welcoming. First place in SD that did not make me miss the authenticity of the east coast. My girl got the braciola di manzo. I got the special rags. Both very tasty but I think hers was better. Nothing on the food menu was 40+ which was nice. Place was packed though. Probably seats around 40-50 people.
We are visiting San Diego from out of town for our anniversary. We went to Italy last year for our honeymoon and had not found any food that compares to authentic Italian until eating here. This food is straight out of Italy. AMAZING. The staff are so friendly and are using their family recipes making the food so authentic. They even import ingredients from Italy. We had an amazing chicken Parmesan, Cacio e Pepe (with chicken), caprese appetizer, and tiramisu (which was on the house for our anniversary). Every single dish was phenomenal. We are already planning a trip back to enjoy this food again!
I’m usually pretty picky with Italian restaurants—it’s hard to find one that really tastes right to me, probably because I lived in Italy for many years. But this place honestly surprised me in the best way, so I had to share. It seems to be run by Italians, and I even got to chat in Italian for a while with someone who looked like the owner, which was such a nice touch. Everything we ordered was spot-on. The panna cotta, especially, was incredible—it tasted exactly like the ones I used to have back in Italy. The space itself isn’t very big, but it’s cozy and quiet, which I really liked. One tip: when they ask if you want to add shrimp, fish, or other extras to your pasta, think twice. The pasta is already delicious on its own, and the extra charge is a bit steep. All in all, a great find—I’d definitely go back
