I recently got a tattoo from Holly. It was very clear to me just how much care and thought she put into the design and it absolutely shows in the final product. I genuinely could not be happier with it. The whole experience was great and I would get another tattoo from Holly in a heartbeat! On top of that, everyone in the shop was welcoming and the atmosphere in general was really friendly.
I have gotten 3 tattoos from forward (2 from Zach and 1 from Bunny) and love every one of them! I have done one design I brought in, one fully hand drawn custom cherry blossoms by Zach, and one monthly flash. Each one has come out great and they are easily the best artists I have visited. I recommend this shop to anyone looking for some new ink. EDIT: I can’t stop going back. Had to get another. Peony done by Zach
Was first tattooed here during their annual flash event (will be a yearly tradition for me going, dare I say, *forward*) and was immediately impressed by the eagerness and friendliness of the staff. Bunny does great work and communicates very well. Holly, Zach, and Jon also have stellar portfolios. Highly, highly recommend.
I've been tattooed here by Zach a handful of times, always as a walk in on their walk in Saturdays. The work is quality, the oldest piece I have from here is 6 months old and looks great. The vibe of the shop is also very relaxed and welcoming. The guys there always seem genuinely excited to do a tattoo. As a woman, I've had quite the range of experiences with different shops over the years, but this is by far my favorite place I've been tattooed in in Madison and I plan to continue getting work done here!
Great shop, fantastic people and atmosphere. Artists are welcoming, great to talk to, and really good at what they do. I’ve gone to Jon for all of my tattoos and have loved all of them. Bunny and Zach’s work looks amazing as well. I’ve scheduled all of my tattoos in advance but they’re always open for walk-ins
