I love this book store. I will often order new books I know are coming out soon from them and they have the easiest pick-up system for it! I also love the little staff notes around the store suggesting books with little summaries. The staff are all super nice and helpful, and all very easy to talk to with any questions about books (:
This is by far my favorite bookstore. The booksellers are so friendly and helpful and they always have a great selection of not just books but cute gifts novelty items. I bring everyone here when they come to town!
I visited Fountain Bookstore on Cary Street and it's on the cutest, tree-lined block! It's the perfect season to cozy up in my favorite chair and get lost in a good book. They have a really nice selection of unusual and funny gifts and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Grace and Julia left a sweet first impression - explaining to me how they recently moved and were acclimating to their new space. I'll be back to snag some adorable holiday gifts soon!
I can confidently say Fountain Bookstore is my favorite bookstore. Their beautiful new space provides such a lovely browsing experience, complemented by a fantastic and diverse selection of titles, gifts, and other fun things. Beyond the focus of books, the staff is exceptional; every single team member I've met has been attentive, super friendly, and knowledgeable, offering the best recommendations. It's a genuine pleasure to support local, and I look forward to spending a lot more time (and money!) at Fountain.
My husband and I were visiting Richmond over a long weekend. We ambled into the Fountain, and truly enjoyed our visit. I'm retired from a public library and love books and bookstores. I liked the fact that they have lots of cat "stuff" as that's another thing that attracts me. The atmosphere is warm and the person at the front desk kind and conversational (and a cat lover!!). I even found a cool bookmark that looks like a cat I recently adopted. Keep up the good work, and good luck on your future endeavors with classes.
