I was in the right mood for a full Scottish breakfast, and what they served was just right. A hearty meal done right! Completely satisfied 🥰🫰
Great place to try and traditional breakfast, the staff is really nice. I tried a full Scottish breakfast, it's a lot of food for one person and it will keep you hunger-free for many hours.
I’ve been coming to this little café in Edinburgh’s West End for over 16 years, and it’s still one of my absolute favourites. The food is always fresh, delicious, and consistently excellent and incredible value for money! What makes it even more special is the atmosphere. The team here are full of personality, and the banter is always good-natured, lighthearted, and fun. The hot counter staff and hunky owner dont hurt ;) As for the crowd, I’ve never experienced anything but a friendly mix of locals and passers-by enjoying their lunch. It feels like a proper community spot, where people look out for each other and enjoy a laugh alongside their meal. If you’re after great food, great people, and a place with real character, this café is a gem. Five stars without question.
Okay so I am so torn on this one because the food is good and the staff are amazing but how do you complain about the types of people who go there? I felt so bad for the female staff as the male customer just stared at them and were so inappropriate to them and it’s like dude, didn’t we go through like a movement? Not everyone wants you. Anyways the food is good but a little pricey and if you can deal with men who think everyone wants a piece of their pie then go ahead but it was so embarrassing to watch I just wanted to leave immediately.
Scone w jam and butter sit in 2.75£ This really isn't a scone. It's almost bread like in terms of texture, with hardly any crumble. Mainly bread-like texture with some sandiness, it's still quite pleasant tho And it's really nice of them to help you spread the butter and jam Portion is huge. This is double the size of a normal scone The warm neighbourhood shop atmosphere is perfect, with a lot of regular customers chatting w the staff
