I had an amazing time working with Trevor for my taxes as a photography freelancer, and he was able to add on my fiancé as well, who had a simpler return. It was a long time on the wait list, I think 3 years at least, but I'm glad I waited! The service is night and day from my last tax person (who was fine, but much older and used dated systems). Fox Tax is modern and up to date. Everything was done through an online portal (with an app!), so I could upload my files and message him with questions. Then we had a very thorough meeting, and I came away with some self-employment taxes owed and a big refund! Very nice guy and positive personality. I recommend Fox Tax to all freelancer photographers because they are very familiar with the industry. Only downside is potential wait to get in, but it's well worth it, in my opinion.
I've been using Fox Tax and Alyssa since they first opened—21 years and counting—and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Taxes aren’t exactly what I’d call "fun," but somehow, Alyssa and the team manage to make the process easy, stress-free, and even enjoyable. Alyssa’s superpowers? I came to Fox Tax through a referral from a trusted friend. I was a freelancer moving from MN out of state and they were so helpful figuring out my seven different 1099s and taxes in two states. I've never been to their offices or met any of them, but everyone I've worked with at Fox (currently Jade) has been professional, patient and just really solved all my tax stress. This is really a millennial-friendly company -- just super easy to work with, no need for in-person, mailing stuff, etc. I love their portal for uploading documents. OH and during COVID-19 they have been working tirelessly, keeping us posted on tax implications with well-written newsletters. Thanks, Fox!
About 15 years ago I was recommended fox tax and I won't go anywhere else ever. They are extremely professional and particularly good at taxes. I found Paul very personable and really enjoy speaking with him and the team. I also always recommend fox tax to anyone looking for tax preparers.
