My husband and I took dance lessons leading up to our wedding and I could not recommend it enough. We had the pleasure of working with Olena and she was always so encouraging and fun and made our weekly lessons such a blast. There was always a feeling of comfort and support from Olena and others at the studio. Olena worked with us to teach us the basics and choreograph a lovely first dance to our song while also keeping in mind our comfort level and any other limitations. If you are on the fence about taking dance lessons for your wedding or in general, I would very highly encourage you to do so!
My boyfriend and I have been dancing at Fred Astaire in Greenfield for nearly three years now and we absolutely love it! The studio is beautiful, the lessons are fun, but the people at the studio are what truly make it memorable. We absolutely adore our instructors and the studio owner. They are endlessly positive, kind, skilled, and encouraging. This studio is home to a truly wonderful community, and we love being part of it. 💕
Been dancing here for 3 years now, instructors are all very nice! We’ve had 3 different sets and they are all very technical and have improved our skills greatly. If you put in the work, you will see the results! Additionally, I’d like to think you build relationships with the other students who are all very supportive and are now friends. You can walk up to anyone and ask questions, everyone is receptive and the instructors do a wonderful job fostering this environment. Finally, the parties held are wonderful for watching other couples and the instructors dance to find skills you want to learn and goals to work towards. If you need convincing - look up Dymytrii Honcharov and Veronika Shapar on YouTube you can see the world-class winning skill of the owners and the type of endless limits that can be achieved!
Lessons here are not cheap. There is a reason - they don't just want to teach you how to dance, they also want to make it enjoyable, to appreciate the art. We came to this Fred Astaire studio shortly before our wedding, nervous about our first dance. Olana is an absolute sweetheart, patient, kind, and always happy to teach - even with students who struggle as I do. Even if you are reluctant and nervous, if you want to be able to dance, sign up here. You will not regret it.
