My kids and I had a great time during the Family Day event. We enjoyed the scavenger hunt and the arts and crafts. Everyone working the event were so friendly. Fresno is fortunate to have this art museum and we need to support it.

The Fresno Art Museum is small. Still, they've managed to curate some exciting works. A visit is well worth their modest entrance fee. I found the works by Ashley Spires to be especially interesting, simple, and fun. "M is for Mistakes" put a smile on my kisser. Eliana Saucedo's art reminded me of my grandmothers gardens; fond memories. Then there's is Roderick Makahari from Zimbabwe. Beautifully executed. There's a pile of rocks on the patio which needs to be viewed from several angles. What we see is a matter of perspective. I wanted to take the Fresno Cougar home. I've a perfect spot to display it. A man there was playing some interesting and relaxing music on his saxophone. Next time I'm in Fresno, I'll drop in for another visit.

Museum with art in diverse media, in June 2025, they have the Kelley collection of African American art on paper, a replica of the Cacaxtla battle mural, art from meso America, illustrations by Grace Lin, among others. Museum staff is very friendly and helpful. Good gift shop. Very quiet on a Saturday morning.

Really enjoyed the Fresno Art Museum. Each little wing was for a different artist, and we saw a nice mix on display. I enjoyed the focus on the different people, different media types, and the lovely courtyard as well. It was a little chilly, which I understand helps with the art preservation but still - bring a jacket. It somehow felt a little empty, like the rooms were large but could have been fuller, but maybe the individual pieces were just a little small for the walls. It was still well worth it. The employees were delightful, and they were even serving cookies and cider in the main area for free. It was very nice art museum!

I have been wanting to visit the Art Museum since I was a teen, I'm mid 30s now, so it's been on my list forever! I finally went on a Saturday, it's only $10 to get in, for it being a Saturday it was very calm. I was able to be in some of the gallery rooms alone and take my time looking over the pieces. I really loved the "Beyond Boundaries" expedition. The colors and art really called to me, there were about 4 or 5 different expeditions on display. There were 4 separate rooms in the museum and then one display was in the main lobby area and hall. The building itself is beautiful, high ceilings, beautiful flooring, modern. They have a cute gift shop, and a sculpture garden in the back, the garden is nice, small and quiet, on warmer days it would be nice to just sit and relax back there. There is also a Beautiful mural painted on the building in the garden. Parking is free, the museum is right next to a park, staff was very nice and welcoming.
