A Hidden Gem for Tea Lovers Garden Tea Lounge is the kind of place you stumble upon once and then never forget. A perfect little hidden spot, serene and full of charm. The tea selection is both impressive and delicious, each cup brewed with care and presented beautifully. Their little sandwiches are just right for a light lunch, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. It’s a lovely spot to meet the girls for brunch or to enjoy a quiet moment of your own. The atmosphere is simple, cute, and classy, often dotted with ladies crocheting, painting, or chatting softly over tea, like stepping into a scene from another, gentler time. A true hidden treasure for anyone who appreciates good tea, calm company, and timeless charm. 🍃☕️
Loved this cute place. Panini was yummy.. live music. One guy with a guitar. Yummy tea. And it's inside the antique shop. A bunch of goodies to look at
Great service! I love this place, I’ve been coming for a few years now and the live music is a great touch! Camille, my cashier and baker, was very helpful and very nice to every customer that she greeted. I got the brownie and it was absolutely delicious!
No idea anything like this existed in san antonio. Hidden in the back of an antique mall (honestly a really nice antique mall) I was really pleasantly surprised to find quality single-origin teas and seemingly authentic yixing zisha pottery (though I didn't peruse) The sit-in service is just by the pot, they don't have a gong fu cha option, and if they did I would definitely make the trip from Austin. The focus seemed more on English-style high tea. If I'm being honest the oolong I ordered was kind of weak but the two black teas I bought bags of were really underpriced for the high quality. Also they let me hang out here for a long time (I had just gotten off a flight and had to wait a few hours for my ride home)
After hearing many things about this establishment, it was time to experience it for myself. The Craftiques Antique Mall is a big antique and resale shop! Super cute! When you walk to the very back of the store, there you will find the Garden Tea Lounge. They offer sandwiches, desserts, an array of teas (hot or iced), and sides such as salad, fruit salad and chips with a pickle spear. I ordered the Cucumber and Watercress sandwich on marble rye with chips and a pickle with an iced chocolate chai tea! It was delightful. I’d recommend. ⚠️ My sister ordered the Pesto BMT Panini with fruit salad and an iced chocolate chai tea. She is allergic to tree nuts, and unfortunately, we weren’t aware that pesto contained PINE NUTS until after we left the store and she felt violently sick. ⚠️ 🚨Anyone who is allergic to tree nuts, DO NOT order anything with pesto because it is NOT tree-nut free! Remember to ask restaurants about food allergens! 🚨 I ask Garden Tea Lounge to please accommodate people who have food allergies by updating their physical and virtual menus by labeling anything that may have a food allergen. Luckily my sister had her EpiPen handy, and she didn’t need it, but I wish I could’ve prevented her getting sick if I knew what was in pesto. It was her first time eating it, too. Regardless of this experience, I would still recommend and would visit again in the future. Nice ambience and good food. Decent prices. I just want them to acknowledge that there will be customers with food allergies, and if they still want business, they need to advertise what contains food allergens!
