Been using Gear Focus as a creator to sell some used and new gear since 2023 and have been pleased with the consistency of the platform. There was a fairly major upgrade about a year ago that now includes a intuitive shipping option that makes the process a lot more seamless for seller and buyer. Gear focus itself is a small business, or at least offers customer service like a small business, being personal and attentive which is really refreshing. You can actually call and talk with someone that is not from a call center in India, but someone who actually has an interest in being helpful. Only thing I hope they correct is that they started expiring listings after 30 days, even if there are multiple products and they have ongoing sales. Honestly, this is irritating and if you're not on top of it your listing ends up hidden from potential buyers. Ebay used to do expiration thing and now there's a checkbox where you can disable this so I hope Gear Focus does something similar. Minus 1/2 star for that. After also selling on Amazon and Ebay and being frustrated by the fees and the policies that seem to stack against a solo creator, Gear focus has been a great option for me and my crew. 🤙
I have bought and sold on Gear Focus and had great experiences on both sides. Best option out there with the lowest seller fees. I recently got a great deal on the awesome Canon 24-105 F4 that I had been looking for. Staff is always helpful and cool to work with as well.
Bought a used Canon R and 24-105mm lens and the seller responded quickly to my questions and the order arrived quickly. This site is very easy to use and their selling pricing structure is very reasonable which has prompted me to sell some of my old gear.
