Our Wynstan came to us through a rehoming situation. He had been taught a few things as far as obedience goes but not much else. He was a good dog and very sweet. He was however, just under 2 years old and still a puppy. He pulled when walking, he would try to run after things in the park. He was never bad his biting instinct as a puppy was mostly gone. As good as he was we needed help. He was starting to bark at everything & everyone that would pass our front gate. Like other reviewers, I had a very hard time thinking of him being gone for 3 weeks. He had been with us every day since he became hours, so I was worried he might think we were leaving him too. Jenzi explained why her board and train is for the dog to let go of bad habits and learn good ones. She assured us he will learn how to be happier. I understood then that when a dog has structure they are happier. She also kept in touch during the three weeks, with pictures and updates about what Wynstan was learning. At the end of the three weeks when it was time for us to pick up Wynstan, we were shown the things he had learned. Then it was time for us to continue his journey. Jenzi explained it all and taught us what we should do and most importantly why we should do it. We have been quite pleased with how Wynstan is far more relaxed and calm. We are very happy with Jenzi, her methods, and how well she took care of our Wynstan. Thank you Jenzi for helping us understand how to keep our boy Wynstan Happy! Matt Tanaka Pamela Montgomery

I cannot rave enough about Jenzi & all she can do! I did a lot of research of where to board & train my 9month puppy, different training styles & environments - but nothing beats Jenzi. She has her own pack that is a first hand result of her training skills & knowledge. She is well priced & detailed. The difference I saw was night & day. Jenzi also gives you a game plan for the next year to get the best results for your dog. She is also available anytime I have a question. She helped with the transaction. I just cannot say enough! Such a plethora of services. She now also boards my dog when I am traveling. I cannot wait to enroll my dog in her swimming lessons once it warms up.

I couldn’t be happier with the training and support I received from Jenzi at Great Expectations K9 Training. From the beginning Jenzi provided exceptional communication. Jenzi listened to what I needed from my service dog, my unique health situation and gave me realistic expectations for what she could do to meet those needs. She also told me what I could reasonably expect from Mercy. She provided daily updates and encouraged me to voice any questions or concerns throughout. When it came time for training in a public, Jenzi went to a place very similar to where I work so she could see any issues that may arise once Mercy is ready for PA work. In training me to work with Mercy, Jenzi was very patient and made sure I completely understood. She gave the background on why she used particular methods. My relationship with Mercy and the rest of my pack has completely changed. Now that I know how important a dog’s calm mindset is, we are all much calmer. I understand how to meet Mercy’s needs so that she can work to meet my needs. Jenzi has provided excellent support since we brought Mercy home. Mercy’s “Go Home Plan” is exceptionally detailed and tailored to my circumstances. I look forward to our follow-up sessions and I am confident as I continue down the best path for Mercy.

I can't recommend Jenzi enough. I needed help with my service dog, Ziva, who had become reactive to dogs following a dog attack, and after no progress with other trainers, I was really considering washing her from work. I decided to do a lesson with Jenzi, and I'm so glad I did. She not only taught me what to do, but also explained why we were doing it, and did so without being condescending. We've already made lots of progress since our lesson about a month ago, and I'm no longer worried about retiring my service dog. The bond between Ziva and I is stronger than ever; I'm so thankful that she is able to continue to work.

Jenzi truly has a gift for training our canine friends and is so knowledgeable about animal behaviors! I have learned a lot through her, I have a 10 month-old Cane Corso that went through her Board & Train program, the difference is night and day, his disposition has really changed even though he's still a goofy puppy! It also really helps that Jenzi is so kind, accommodating and available to answer any questions/concerns you may have while/after the training. I DO NOT TRUST ANYONE with my dogs so I feel really blessed to have come across Jenzi and her family, I always felt like it was a very positive environment for my dog. Training is not my calling but Jenzi has provided me with some skills to at least keep up with my dog's needs. I'm grateful for that and will continue to use Great Expectations in the future.
