Did lots of research as to where to get highlights ahead of my own wedding day and heard great things about Gielly Green. Had my consult with someone senior and he recommended a colourist to me who would be great. I asked for face framing highlights and I was encouraged to have a full head of highlights. This wasn’t cheap - £400+ in total but the results were that of a high street salon gone wrong. I came out with awful streaky hair at the front, that was brassy even when I left the salon and in a “money piece” style. I also, for some reason, had about an inch of harsh roots on show (pictures are from the day I had it done) - which didn’t feel AT ALL bridal appropriate to me. It looked honestly dreadful with several colour of the rainbow in one streak of hair. Since this was close to my wedding day, I was so upset and had to go back to get it temporarily fixed - and the colourists even then said that they had admired the colour when I had it done. At first I was offered a toner, which honestly wasn’t good enough considering it could fade and show my horrible roots, and I was offered to change the actual highlights. I’ve overall had to pay much more to get it properly fixed. Worst of all, I just really dislike how my hair looked on such a special day. I’ve gone to another client-based salon, and they are shocked at how my hair was left. I wish I had asked for a refund at the time, but no amount of money can make it better now. I didn’t feel like a beautiful bride. Please be warned - if they will wreck a bride’s hair, they may wreck yours.
I had the BEST experience here! Anisa first toned my hair and styled it, taking so much time and great care to make sure it looked amazing. When I decided I wanted to go darker, she didn’t hesitate at all! Anisa happily re-toned my hair and styled it again to make sure I loved the final result. I felt so listened to and truly cared for. Her patience and dedication really stood out. I absolutely love my hair and highly recommend her!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I strongly advise staying away from this salon. I visited a few weeks ago to have my hair dyed, as it had two different tones with visible white roots. The stylist assured me that he could fix it by applying a single, even colour matching my roots, and promised a perfect result. Unfortunately, the outcome was extremely disappointing, and I left the salon in tears. I was sent downstairs to wash my hair with a specific shampoo, which I was instructed to leave on for 10 minutes. Afterward, my hair was washed again with the same shampoo and then blow-dried. I was charged £240, despite the fact that no proper hair colour was used, contrary to what had been promised. Overall, the service did not match the claims made or the price charged, and the experience was very upsetting. Never again!!!! NEVER
I had the best experience at this salon! When I first came in, I honestly felt so insecure because I just hated my hair — the color, the damage, everything. But thanks to Nini and Darijo, I left feeling 1000% more confident in myself. Nini did my balayage and completely transformed my hair — it went from uneven and brassy to a soft, seamless blend that looks healthy, glossy, and natural. She also gave me a complimentary blow dry that made it look absolutely flawless. On top of that, she was so kind, warm, and easy to talk to — there wasn’t a single awkward moment, just good energy and genuine care the entire time.The salon itself has such a positive and welcoming vibe. Darijo gave me a complimentary cut and was just as amazing — he took the time to explain which products I should start using, showed me the exact ones, and explained how they’d benefit my hair. What stood out the most was how understanding he was about me loving my long hair. Unlike so many stylists, he actually respected that and managed to get rid of all my dead ends while still keeping my length! Both Nini and Darijo were so genuine, talented, and caring. They didn’t just fix my hair — they completely lifted my confidence and made me feel beautiful again. I left the salon glowing, inside and out. I honestly can’t recommend them enough! 💕
Thank you India Knight for sharing your experience of Hyrolox by Ondine Crowley at Gielly Green. My hair is fine, curly and unattractively frizzy. I have tried every treatment , product, supplement, silk head wrap etc know to man and nothing has ever worked. I’m almost 50 so I’ve tried a lot. Sure I may get a great cut, colour and style in a salon but as soon as I step out of the salon my hair reverts back to chaos and frizz. Until now! I cannot thank Ondine enough for the magic she has achieved. I’ve waited over a month to post a review to make sure I can report back on the lasting effects. I can now use my Dyson Air wand (another purchase previously made to reduce the frizz but hadn’t had any results) and within 3 minutes I have bouncy, shiny frizz free hair that lasts days. It really is magical. I’ve attached photos of before, just done and beautifully coloured by Amy, and then 1 month later. Still can’t quite believe it.
