They have a great selection of higher-end items. It's a reliable place to go when you need a good quality gift that isn't just junk. However, the folks running the show just aren't that great. I purchased chocolates only to find when I got home that they had expired a week earlier. In the same transaction, something was labeled $12 when the true cost was $15. Instead of honoring the labeled price, she charged me $15. Finally, I asked for some tissue paper for the gift bag I purchased. I was told she could put it on the side but they weren't doing any wrapping at the moment. But the customer next to me had two staff helping her wrap a gift with wrapping paper. These are small things, but they make it feel like it's not an honest business and they don't really care about their customers.
One of my favourite places in KW for cool and unique gifts that you didn't know you needed. Owner is always willing to help you out with anything you need and they package orders with such care. Always something to find here.
This is hands-down the best gift shop in town! I've been coming here for years. Sylvia has a carefully curated and rotating selection with something for everyone in your life. I really enjoy the selection here and don’t mind the mark up to support local sellers- there seem to be some really genuinely lovely staff that work there in the summer- perhaps students? But the full-time manager/ perhaps owner is quite hot and cold. Sometimes over the top nice and other times barely acknowledges you or is rude. We work with a lot of small and local businesses - and ‘fake nice’ is quite an obvious trait. I don’t particularly enjoy going here but I do often when visitors come to the area as it’s one of a few nice stores in Belmont to visit.
Amazing place with a huge variety of ideas. The two ladies were extremely helpful in helping me put a tea and chocolate gift together for my mom. Will definitely be back! Even have boxes, paper and bows to make my life easier for presentation. Wish I would have taken a pic of inside because there packaging is on point!
