It was a beautiful restaurant and our server, Ileane was both attentive and unobtrusive. My partner and I had a great time doing Dine-Out Vancouver and I really appreciated how it felt upscale without being pretentious! Food was delicious and beautifully presented
I went to Glowbal in downtown Vancouver one evening for dinner, and it felt like a nice experience from start to finish. The restaurant is big and stylish, and it has a lively but comfortable atmosphere that works well whether you’re there for a date night or a meal with friends. I liked how it didn’t feel overly formal, but it still felt like something special. I ordered a seafood dish and a steak, and both were cooked well and tasted fresh. The lobster and sablefish stood out for me because the flavours were balanced and not too heavy. The service was friendly and attentive — the staff answered questions about the menu and helped with flavour suggestions. One thing I appreciated was the variety on the menu. There were seafood options, pastas, salads, and even vegetarian-friendly choices that felt thoughtful and well prepared. It made it easy to find something that fit different tastes.
Had brunch and then dinner there this week. For some reason, brunch service was very slow, but the food was quite good. Steak and eggs was cooked perfectly, and the Brussels sprouts were delicious. Dinner service in a private room was excellent. Set menu was beet salad/crab cakes (great!)/beef tartare (worcesterchire-heavy); then sablefish (divine!)/steak (pretty good); and lemon tart or chocolate cake for dessert. A classy, high-end setting with professional service and notably decent food.
We chose GLOWBAL to celebrate a very special milestone, our Permanent Residency approval, and it could not have been a better choice. Since GLOWBAL serves brunch only on weekends, we visited during the weekend and were impressed from the very first moment. The team surprised us with a welcome of mini donuts and a small glass of strawberry yogurt. For brunch, we ordered two main dishes: • Montreal Smoked Beef Sandwich — incredibly flavorful, perfectly balanced, and generously portioned. • Spicy Lobster & Shrimp Croquette — rich, bold, and beautifully executed with just the right amount of spice. We also enjoyed a fresh green salad and oysters, both of which were top quality and complemented the meal perfectly. A special thank-you to our server, Khelil, who truly elevated our experience. He was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout the entire brunch. His service played a big role in making this celebration feel extra special. The food, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional. This brunch wasn’t just a meal; it was a memorable experience tied to an important life moment for us. Highly recommended for special occasions or anyone looking for an outstanding weekend brunch in Vancouver.
I celebrated my birthday with my family at Glowbal on West Georgia,Vancouver and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone for a perfect evening — quiet, sensory-friendly, and beautifully lit with soft, dim lighting. It’s an ideal place for special occasions, and it absolutely made my birthday feel extra special. We enjoyed appetizers, entrées, desserts, and cocktails, and every dish surpassed our expectations. The flavors were incredible, the presentation was stunning, and each plate felt like something crafted to please all the senses. For the quality and creativity of the food, the prices were very reasonable. One of my favorite parts of the night was the open kitchen setup. Watching the chefs prepare and grill the Tomahawk steak right in front of us added such an exciting and unique touch to the dining experience. Seeing it come off the grill and served directly to our table was a highlight. Our server, Adam, made the evening even better. He was friendly, upbeat, fun, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His service was efficient, attentive, and professional — you can tell he loves his job and is very well trained. He took excellent care of us from start to finish. Overall, Glowbal exceeded every expectation. The ambiance, food, presentation, and service all came together to create a birthday celebration I’ll always remember. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone celebrating a special occasion!
