Awesome shop and experience. Started going here in 1996, and after a long break away had to get my PDP Concept Maple Exotic through Gold Coast Music. Stew not only had the best price in the country, he and the team kept me in the loop with the progress and status of my order. Stew hasn't just taken over the shop, he's revived it, restored it, and given it the soul it used to have. Ultra mega thanks Stew, Glenn and the crew. This is where you wanna' go people.
I’ve been shopping at Gold Music for years, and the team has always been nothing short of fantastic. Most recently, I bought a new amp — but of course, life had other plans and my washing machine died that same day just a few hours later. Suddenly I had to choose between clean clothes and new gear. When I went back to return the amp, Stewart couldn’t have been more understanding. He handled everything with genuine kindness, patience, and absolutely no judgment. That level of customer care is rare, and it’s exactly why I keep coming back. Gold Music is easily my favourite music store on the Coast, and I recommend them to anyone who wants great gear and even better service. Photos of the deceased washing machine included for dramatic effect — because if I had to say goodbye to my amp, I’m taking everyone on the emotional journey with me.
Five stars! I had an amazing experience with this store. I bought a microphone that wasn’t in stock, and they told me it would arrive in a few days. Although the courier didn’t deliver it exactly on time, the store immediately lent me another microphone so I could cover my needs. The next day, the one I purchased arrived. They were super attentive and really went above and beyond. I’m really happy with how they handled everything, just a very positive experience overall!
I want to kick this review off by saying the staff at this music store are absolute legends. They are super friendly, easy to talk to, and hands down offer some of the best customer service I’ve experienced. They’re also more than happy to work out a deal, which is always a bonus. Even though I was about two hours away and rocking up close to closing time, the team still let me sit down, plug in, and really get a feel for the guitar. I’m a big Schecter fan, so I already knew the price would match the top-tier quality they consistently deliver, but being able to play it first just sealed the deal. The manager (I’m pretty sure it was him) was also incredibly approachable. I asked if the D’Addario pack that came with my new beast of a guitar included any picks, and without hesitation he grabbed me a few which made me realize that these blokes are loyal to new and returning customers and overall really added to my experience. Overall, the whole visit was fantastic. I Strongly recommend coming here if you are after some great instruments. Went back to Gold Coast Music to have my Fender Strat refurbished by Tony. When he took it out of the bag I could have sworn it wasn't mine! Tony did an amazing job with great service, cool advice and at half the price of other stores. So don’t go anywhere else musos! Go to GCMusic, you won’t be disappointed!
