Five stars for Green Thumb Nursery! I stopped in for some worm castings and was blown away by their incredible selection of beautiful, healthy plants. It's a must-see for any plant lover. Stopped by Greenthumb to look for roses—even though they’re not really in season, we actually found one we loved! Ended up picking up a bunch of other flowers and even grabbed a few lettuces. They’ve got a really big selection of plants and flowers to choose from. Also, their colorful ceramics from Mexico are super unique and vibrant—perfect for adding some life to your garden.
This is an amazing nursery- the plants all looked healthy - I do wish they had more variety of house plants but even those they had were very nice quality and not over priced- we love to stop and look at the Koi pond and Koi fish and hang out in the Gazebo with its cooling breeze on a hot day. They have many metal animal statues and a train engine that just add to the adventures! They also have a multitude of pottery and garden needs from bird feeders to garden tools, soils and so much more. All in all a great place to browse and find all your plant and garden needs.
I can’t say enough good things about Green Thumb Nursery in San Marcos. Their plant selection is incredible—healthy, diverse, and thoughtfully curated. The pricing is more than fair for the quality you get, and in many cases, far better than what you’d find elsewhere. What really sets them apart, though, is the staff. Every employee I’ve interacted with has been knowledgeable, helpful, and clearly passionate about what they do. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, they take the time to guide you and make sure you’re getting exactly what you need. Everything I’ve brought home from Green Thumb has thrived. I recommend them to anyone and everyone looking for anything garden-related—and I always steer people away from the big box stores. There’s just no comparison in quality, care, or experience.
