My partner and I have had such a wonderful experience working with Thomas from Haart so far, supporting us on our journey to buying our first home, which is a beautiful Victorian property in need of renovation. He has kept us up to date at every stage, and is always available for questions or to arrange extra visits to help us plan the renovation work. Thomas has been the perfect balance of professional and down-to-earth: such a different experience to most of the other estate agents we met on previous viewings who just seemed to be quoting a script and not being honest or knowledgeable about the realistic amount of work needed on the houses we saw. One of my favourite things about working with Thomas has been his interior design ideas! We had a lot of fun with him letting our imaginations run wild and picturing what our new house could look like in the future! Mark and I are extremely grateful to Nicola Lewis, the Senior Branch Manager. She showed dogged determination to secure Mark a flat. Firstly, she strongly recommended a property which was just above our price range, but which she felt had some very special qualities. Secondly, once we had chosen, she sat down with me as Guarantor to help provide the appropriate information for the vetting agents. I had been to previous letting agents who just assumed I would be able to do this, and would have the relevant technology, and did not offer any help with the process! I have awarded Nicola five stars for the above reasons, and because she kept smiling throughout the whole process! In addition to the above statement by my guarantor, I (Mark) want to give special mention to Nicola Lewis and to Lily who as a team worked relentlessly to make sure that my dream of having this flat became a reality. Conditions for finding a flat to let in Bristol are uniquely challenging, and after having my hopes dashed several times via other agents, Nicola made the calls, sent the emails, and spent the time with us both in the office to make sure that we got through the referencing process smoothly. My guarantor (parent) does not have the appropriate equipment needed for online-only referral systems and this is where Nicola really stepped in. Both Nicola and Lily came true on their promises, and now I am now about to become a tenant in a beautiful flat that I wouldn't have even known about or considered if it hadn't been from a proactive call from Nicola, with her understanding and patience.
I was selling my house in Bristol and the Estate Agent I originally chose was not very positive with regards to viewings or communication. They proposed a drop in price following a perceived lack of interest and offers considerably below the new reduced price were rejected by me, Thomas Newson-Taylor from Haarts contacted me stating that they had noticed the property had been on the market for some time without interest and asked if they could help. After meeting him to discuss Haarts terms I agreed to instruct them in the sale, and within a short time offers of interest were received which led to the successful sale above asking price.
We had Thomas Taylor come by and talk us through the value of our flat and what our options were moving forward. Thomas was extremely informative and helpful. Giving us a number of routes to go down and explaining thoroughly how various processes work. He came across as very personable and genuine. We hope to work more with him in the future.
I had a valuation carried out by Adrian. During the valuation, the agent was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. He provided a well-reasoned estimate. Adrian took the time to walk me through his reasoning, explained current market trends in a clear way, and gave me an honest and realistic picture of my property’s value. I especially appreciated how approachable and knowledgeable he was — nothing felt rushed. I would highly recommend Adrain to anyone looking for an accurate, reliable, and friendly valuation service.
