I have been taking piano lessons at Hackney Music School for a little over a year now, and as an adult student with no musical background, the speed at which I have progressed has been genuinely extraordinary. Both my teachers, Laura and Katie, have been exceptional. They have not only taught me the fundamentals but also helped me finally pursue something I have always wanted to do but had assumed was out of reach. From my experience with these two amazing teachers, I have no doubt that the rest of the disciplines at Hackney Music School are in equally great hands. If you are thinking about learning an instrument, there is every chance you will excel here. Highly recommended.

My son has been taking piano lessons here for quite some time, and I couldn’t be happier with his progress. The teachers are very professional, patient, and encouraging. They make the lessons fun while still challenging him to improve each week. I’ve noticed not only great improvement in his piano skills but also more confidence and motivation to practice at home. The school is very well organized, communication is always clear, and they truly care about each student’s learning journey. Excellent teachers, great management, and very easy central location. My daughter has been taking singing lessons here for a year with Katie. She's developed so much confidence and skill. Before she began she was too embarrassed to sing in front of anyone unless in a choir/ ensemble. Now she's loving singing all the time and has a broader range of songs that she has mastered. It's brought her (and the family) a lot of joy - and I'd say it's been a huge stress release while studying her GCSE. Highly recommend.

What an absolute gem of a find for music lessons!! My adult son is loving his piano lessons with Lei at the Hackney Music School. He self taught as a child but really needed proper lessons to progress. The school is perfectly situated right by Haggerston Station. Lei is perfect as his tutor, she understood straight away what my son wanted and his playing is already coming on in leaps and bounds. Luciano also helped me to purchase a lessons voucher as a surprise Christmas gift - it made a perfect present to open on the day. If you are thinking of having lessons in piano, guitar, drums, singing etc definitely look here as the people are so helpful and friendly.

I bought my partner four piano lessons as a birthday gift. Luciano was very helpful in sorting out the gift voucher for me to give to my partner. He has really enjoyed his first lessons with Lei who has been very supportive and encouraging of his piano playing. This has reinvigorated his interest in piano - as a result he is now taking weekly lessons at Hackney Music School.
