I’m sure this place is fine to buy books but terrible place to sell your books. Youre better off using Amazon resale or donating them. They offered me $2 for 7 brand new and currently very popular books.
This store usually carries a good selection of the things of things I am interested. First example, a good selection of manga, personal development (think John Maxwell, Brian Tracy), math books, etc. Recently, our family lost a loved one, and my wife found herself in the grief section on one of the shelves. A store employee approached her gently and she had some recommendations and looked for other titles not found in the store. My wife appreciated her help. Definitely, five starts.

Half Price Books is always a great spot to visit, and even though they’re undergoing a revamp, the store is still well-organized and easy to navigate. A few shelves were empty, but everything is clearly labeled, making it simple to find exactly what you’re looking for. What I love most is that it’s more than just books—they have games, puzzles, and so much more! Whether you're a book lover or just browsing for something unique, this place has a little bit of everything. Can’t wait to see the updates once the revamp is complete!
WARNING!!!! Do not buy from this store or this company!!!! They sold me a $2500 copy of the first edition of the Godfather and despite having the original sales receipt and price tag, refused to refund my money! There was a sticker on the dust jacket, writing on the book and nearly 20 pages missing from the book that they neglected to mention and go over with me before selling me the book! Nowhere in the online listing, which influenced my decision to buy it did it mention these three defects with one being absolutely major! There was literally an old sales receipt that came with the book my wife and I found last night that explicitly stated the pages were indeed already missing before the purchase! I repeat, do not buy from this store or any Half Price Books and if you do, use extreme caution! I have already filed a chargeback with my bank and will be reporting this blatant false advertising to the FTC, the BBB and to the State Attorney General!
