This is going to be another awkward review for me. I really like that this is the local restaurant and everything is made from scratch. But it just seems really expensive for what you get. The service very attentive, which left several of us thirsty. The building atmosphere and aesthetics were very pleasing. The menu was very limited in choices. Parking is limited close to the restaurant.
Really cool old building. Limited menu but I’d say upscale bar options. Smash burger was great, fried chicken sandwich as well. Drinks took quite a while
Really enjoyed our stop at Hannon’s Block! The classic brick pub atmosphere gives it a warm, inviting feel that’s perfect for relaxing after some time on the road. The food was awesome—everything we tried was flavorful and fresh. A special shoutout for their gluten-free options, which my wife really appreciated. Service was friendly and efficient, and it’s such a convenient spot for travelers looking for a quality lunch stop in Toledo. I was driving through Ohio and quickly searched "best burger Toledo", that's how I ended up at Hannon's, and I was not disappointed. I started with a blackberry smash cocktail with was absolutely divine, and had the perfect amount of bourbon. Then I moved onto the feta artichoke dip which was perfectly creamy and melty, and those chips were crispy, the perfect vessel for a thick dip. Finally, the burger, it definitely lives up to the search results, it was perfectly cooked and all of the toppings were the perfect ratio. I may just have to drive the few hours back just to try it again. The fries were no slouch either, they're on the thinner side but still moist with a bit of crunch and served with a creamy delicious garlic aoli that was also on the burger. My server that afternoon was Faith, and she was a delight. Attentive without being overbearing, answering my questions and offering suggestions. All in all I have zero complaints and only praise for Hannon's and can't wait to be back in the area to go again.
Great old brick building in downtown Toledo. Great look on the inside with exposed bricks and high ceilings. Nice selection of beers, I had the cream sickle orange wheat ale that was really tasty. I had the Walleye with mashed potatoes which was very good, nice big piece of Walleye on the plate.Had the Artichoke Feta dip which was very creamy and their pita chips held up well. My wife had the steak frites which was NY strip cut into strips which was very solid along with restaurant cut fries. Nice atmosphere, friendly service just took a bit to get the food but not a major issue. If you are looking for a nice place for good food and a relaxing atmosphere this is your place!
