HarborTown Fitness est une petite salle de sport à Memphis offrant un équipement polyvalent et des entraînements à un prix très raisonnable. Les avis louent des installations propres, un personnel local sympathique et une communauté accueillante, avec une ambiance boutique et des vues sur le port dignes d'une carte postale. Elle accueille les débutants comme les athlètes d'élite, et proposait des cours du matin (suspendus en raison de la COVID-19). I genuinely have never left any bad reviews in my life, but I have not had as bad of an experience anywhere as I did with Harbor Town Fitness. I joined right when the gym closed for an entire month and a half, (sometime near spring/ beginning of summer) and we never received any type of notice, nothing about when the gym would be back open, etc. Me and my roommates all emailed and texted Kelly more times than I can count, and I ended up having to have my dad text him after I couldn't get any response. I went to Australia for 3 months and he said he would pause my membership and when August rolled around I had a $25 charge on my card for not returning my key. I tried to return my key and I couldn't get in the door, so I had to keep waiting to turn it in, because, he never answered the phone or his texts. Truly could not recommend this gym less
Owners are locals and take great care of the equipment and members. Lots of options for a great workout. Also, very reasonably priced so it's really a great value. Wonderful to have such a great facility so close to home.
Extremely Disrespectful Experience I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience with the owner of this gym today. I approached him respectfully with a concern, but he was immediately rude, dismissive, and spoke to me in a hostile tone. When I requested to cancel my membership due to his unprofessional behavior, he brushed me off and told me to handle it through email because he was “doing something more important.” He showed no empathy or willingness to listen. I have never been treated this way at a business before and cannot recommend this place to anyone based on this experience. And let me not add the gym was closed for almost a month and a half due to water damages in the building. Not one time did they offer us our money back they still charged us for the period of time we were unable to access the gym .
Great compact gym. It has everything you need. Serious commitment to beginner through top fitness athletes. Very reasonable price for Guest pass. Terrific workout enhanced our visit to Memphis. Do not rely upon the bad reviews. Gym Happy!
I've never consistently worked out until I joined this gym a year and a half ago and now work out with regularity. I have this gym and my experience with the owner, Kelly, to thank for this transformation. I've never had to wait to use a treadmill and love the morning classes (now suspended because of C19), especially Vicky's yoga class. Kelly is a patient and motivating personal trainer who keeps me engaged, driven, and adjusts work outs for my desired outcomes and limitations. I appreciate that this is a boutique gym (with great lighting thanks to oversize windows with picture-perfect views of the harbor) and that it is always spotless. Because this is a small business, there is also a welcoming sense of community along with a friendly staff and clientele.
