Truly Exceptional—The Best Decision We Made for Our Wedding I don’t even know where to start with this review. Heather Cooke Elliott Photography is absolutely incredible and far exceeded our expectations. We had the pleasure of working with Heather and her team for our summer 2025 wedding, and they photographed multiple events over our big fat Indian (Sikh) celebration—Mehendi, Sangeet, our Anand Karaj (wedding ceremony) in the gurdwara (temple), and our evening reception. From our very first consultation, we knew we were in the best hands. Heather’s approach was thorough, informative, and centered on human connection. Communication throughout the entire process was timely, thoughtful, and truly helped us make the best decisions for our vision. I also had the pleasure of meeting with Emily months before the wedding so we could get to know each other. That conversation added so much value—it allowed her to understand what matters to us as a couple and ensured our photos would reflect our personalities and values. On the wedding days themselves, Heather and her team were everything we could have hoped for. They used their expertise to gently “push” me to take advantage of special photo opportunities—even when I was worried about keeping to a busy timeline—and I am so grateful they did. They also helped us pivot seamlessly to a different photo location when our original spot ended up being under construction. Their calm, confidence, and creativity made all the difference. Most importantly, the entire team made us and our guests feel comfortable and completely ourselves. That authenticity shows in the final photos. I prefer candid moments over posed shots—images that capture the emotion of the exact moment—and Heather and her team delivered this at an exceptional level. Every photo feels alive. Our sneak peek photos arrived very quickly, followed shortly after by Photo Release Day, which created so much excitement for us and our families. The online album was organized so beautifully that reliving each event felt effortless and joyful. We ordered many printed photos as gifts for family, and they treasure them. Heather also met with me after the wedding to begin designing our wedding album and even let me preview different album styles in her studio. Life is made of moments, and those moments are beautifully remembered through photos and video. We were honored to have Heather Cooke Elliott as our photography team for our entire wedding week, and we cannot wait to work with Heather and the team again to capture more special life moments in the future.

Heather is AMAZING!! My husband and I were instantly drawn to her work as she captures the moment in such an authentic way. After our initial meeting with Heather, we knew we wanted to work with her! Not only is Heather incredibly talented, but she is kind, detail-oriented, great at directing large crowds and so pleasant to work with. We did our engagement session with Heather and had such a fun time. She’s great at directing without making things overly posed - and she’ll tell you if you’re doing something quirky (much appreciated here, lol!). We are so fortunate to have had Heather and Emily photograph our wedding. They scouted a few locations near our venue for our first look, a sweet moment to read notes to each other, and other locations to take photos with our bridal party. We didn’t have to think about it at all, and love the variety we have in our photos! Heather and Emily are a great duo. They captured all the special moments, and all the little details in between. They didn’t miss a shot, and our guests loved being able to snap family photos during cocktail our. Heather also recommended our videographer Craig, with Sikora Film Co. (HIGHLY recommend!!). They worked incredibly well together and seem to have a nice rhythm that ensures both capture what they need, without getting in each others way. We can’t thank Heather & team enough for capturing our wedding day. We’ll always cherish these photos, and appreciate all the special care that went into capturing them. Highly recommend!!!

Hands down the best photography experience I could have dreamed of for my wedding. Heather is incredibly sweet, personable, and was a joy to work with throughout our planning process. Emily was the photographer for our engagement session and we had an absolute blast. She made us comfortable and it felt so natural. Emily and Dominika were the photographers for our wedding day and they were a dream team. Not only did they take breathtaking pictures, but they acted as support people for my husband and I throughout the day. They kept us on our timeline, organized our wedding party, and were always there to help with my dress and veil. We always knew they were there if we needed them yet somehow they blended in and gave us space and moments to be together. This team captured our day perfectly. If you are lucky enough to come across this group and are considering photographers for ANY occasion, do it! They are a pleasure to work with and we had a perfect experience.
