Heather Hilliard is probably the most experienced and talented interior designer of high-end residences I’ve ever known. Her taste is impeccable and she obviously cares deeply about her work and the needs of her clients.
I have nothing but praise for Heather and her design team! I set out to build a new home in Santa Barbara, and I signed up Heather Hilliard Design as soon as I engaged my architect. She and her team were there every step of the way, and Heather proved quite the diplomat in communicating our wants which at times conflicted with the architect's vision. Our final plan and design were everything I had hoped for! Sadly the house was never built due to a change in my life circumstances, but Heather will be my first call on the next project. I not only loved her design sense, but her charm and calm demeanor made her a joy to work with. Thank you Heather!
Heather Hilliard Design had a professional image, but my project did not reflect that. The process dragged on unnecessarily, with contractors arriving late and unprepared. Updates were infrequent, and I often felt left in the dark about what was happening. The final product looked adequate but lacked the finesse expected from a high-end design firm. The stress, disorganization, and lack of transparency throughout the process overshadowed any positives. I would not recommend Heather’s firm based on this experience.
