Helen Abraham is a WONDERFUL Wedding Photographer! Helen's pictures truly captured our happiness and the overall feeling of love and joy among our small wedding party. Helen travelled to Scotland to photograph our wedding weekend in early June. We would recommend her whole-heartedly. The photography was a hugely important aspect of our wedding, so choosing Helen was a big decision. We discovered her online and loved her style – modern, honest, documentary shots all telling a story, full of colour and movement, with a great freshness and wonderful perspective. Her talent was obvious. So we were delighted when, upon meeting her, she also turned out to be professional, organised, efficient, a great listener and keen to learn about us, our wedding and what we wanted from the day. A few phone calls and several emails later – after a million questions from us and a great deal of patience and good advice from her – it was clear Helen was the one. Getting to know Helen with an engagement shoot turned out to be a really fun experience – a relaxed morning wandering along the Thames, with Helen being discreet with the camera. She was lovely! Then, over the course of our wedding weekend, she put in countless hours and endless hard work, all the while making it look easy (when we saw her at all). She was calm, friendly, kind, thoughtful, considerate and charming with us and all our guests, who barely noticed her while she took the most amazing photos of them enjoying themselves. And the end product was so wonderful! Hundreds of incredible photographs – a burst of colour and smiles – documenting our day, capturing not only the people, events and little details so naturally, but also the special moments, the stolen glances and the love, happiness and relaxed atmosphere perfectly. She ‘got’ what our wedding was about and recorded it brilliantly. The photographs (delivered quickly, with some previews in advance) were beautifully and thoughtfully presented on a clever but easy to use website, plus a carefully curated slide-show with some amazing music that gave everyone the feels! We have not been able to stop looking at our pictures - they take us right back to the day and trigger so many wonderful memories and emotions! So many of our guests have said the same – “Fantastic!”, “Brilliant!”, “Super!”. Helen gave us exactly what we wanted (and more), which is exactly what she said she’d do. We couldn’t have found a nicer or more talented photographer to share our wedding day with, and can’t thank her enough for everything she has done. (ps. If you’re thinking of a second shooter, ask Helen to bring along Steve. As well as being the nicest guy he is a total hoot, and – like Helen – has a knack of getting the best out of even the most camera shy.)
