Heritage Park à Calgary est un vaste musée vivant d'histoire qui offre un voyage immersif dans le passé des premières colonies des Prairies. Ce parc, méticuleusement géré, présente des bâtiments historiques, des balades en train d'époque, un bateau à roue à aubes sur le réservoir Glenmore, une foire d'époque, et des expositions éducatives sur la vie des pionniers, l'exploitation minière du charbon et bien plus encore. A few months back our family had a wonderfully relaxing day at Heritage Park! It was the perfect spot to slow down, take in some history, and just enjoy being together. My 9-year-old son loved exploring the old-fashioned buildings, riding the vintage train, and seeing how people lived in the past. One of the highlights was the paddlewheel boat ride on the Glenmore Reservoir. It was such a peaceful experience, giving us beautiful views and a chance to just sit back and enjoy the moment. The staff throughout the park were friendly and knowledgeable, making history come to life in such a fun way. We also spent some time at the antique midway, where my son had a blast with the old-school rides. And of course, no visit would be complete without a stop at the bakery for some delicious homemade treats! Heritage Park is a great place for families looking for a mix of education and relaxation. It was a perfect day—no rushing, just enjoying the sights, sounds, and experiences of the past. We’ll definitely be coming back!

A fun, festive, and educational experience for everyone. The Park has an assortment of activities, rides, food, civic museums, and heritage architecture emphasizing the cultural significance of early Prairie settlement/life. It's like taking a step back in time, and it's worth every dollar. 11/10 do recommend.

Heritage Park in Calgary is a fantastic destination for a family outing. The park stands out for its welcoming policy on food and drinks, allowing visitors to bring their own and enjoy a picnic-like atmosphere—a rare perk that saves a lot on expenses compared to other parks where you can easily spend over $100 just on meals. Though tickets are on the pricier side at $36 for adults and $26 for kids, the experience is worth every penny. The park is meticulously managed, from parking to rides and everything in between. It’s incredibly clean, with free water fountains and spotless washrooms, ensuring a comfortable visit. Highly recommended for a day of fun and relaxation!

🏰 Huge historical museum which I liked more than any other attraction in Calgary 😅. If you are going to visit this place, I would allocate 2 to 3 hours of your time at a minimum. ⛲ Here you will find the very old neighborhoods of the old Calgary that used to be, in fact there are a huge amount of different buildings 🛖 and separate little museums on the grounds. The train station, as well as the miners' mines.🎪 There's a whole entertainment complex for the kids, lots of different retro style stores.🎠 I kind of plunged into the time when it was all there, maximum immersion in the old world. I almost forgot to say that there is also an old restored 🚂 train that can take you around the museum (park). Here you can also find different animals 🐎 in a certain area of the museum. I loved this place so much, I recommend anyone who in Calgary for a couple days to visit this place! 🔥🧖🏽

This place is huge- it could easily fill an entire day with everything from automobile collections, pioneer life, and coal mining as well as a really well done old-fashioned midway. I enjoyed the fact everything was included in the admission. We also ate at a really nice restaurant there- the food was perfect. And if you want to ride the train, a tractor pulled cart or horse pulled carriage you are in luck! Please like this review to help me justify my senseless hobby of writing them for every place I have ever visited ;)
