Adam was the PERFECT guitar teacher for someone brand new to guitar like me. He was patient, encouraging and answered every question I had with expertise. I really felt like I was improving after every lesson. We went over tuning, notes on the strings, picking practice, playing with metronome, strum practice, chord transitions, fretting, posture, and everything else a beginner wants to know. I mentioned I was into fingerstyle guitar early on and Adam made sure to incorporate fingerstyle practice alongside the usual lessons to keep me engaged. Adam is a real musician, classically trained, and knows what he’s talking about when it comes to guitar, both acoustic and electric. Highly recommend!
Adam is a great guitar teacher. In our time together, Adam was able to help me improve all aspects of my playing. I was self taught for 25 years with nothing to show for it but almost immediately I had more confidence and could play better. Adam can cater lessons toward your specific goals. If you want to get faster, more accurate, and gain a better understanding of the fretboard I recommend highland park guitar lessons and Adam.
I took a half dozen lessons with Adam to work on developing some longstanding deficits in my guitar playing. Adam is a great teacher. He has a solid understanding of multiple styles, which allows him to provide context for where a chord progression or composition from. His approach to teaching inversions and learning the fretboard was something I have wanted to dig into for years, and his framework was incredibly helpful in beginning the process of internalizing those structures (though will take years I'm sure to master!). I anticipate and look forward to working with him again some day in the future.
I was totally new to guitar and Adam got me started right away! He was super patient and took the time to get to know my learning style. He wanted to know what kind of music I liked so we could work on that, not just focusing on scales and the classics! His lessons were fun, easy to understand, and the highlight of my week. It’s very clear that Adam enjoys watching his students grow and learn. I highly recommend him for anyone who wants to grow their musical skill set!
Adam is awesome. He puts in the time and effort with each individual student to unlock all potential. Every guitar lesson I feel like I’m improving and Adam is always pushing me to do things I never thought possible. I would 10/10 recommend Adam to anybody looking to get better at guitar. I thought I was a decent guitar player before I started lessons but now I know I have so much to learn and gain, and I wouldn’t rather learn from anybody else.
