I am very pleased with the workmanship and professionalism my dedicated handyman Ramie has displayed. He is always on time and focused on the tasks that have been assigned. He has kept me posted as the jobs progress and always lets me know when the job is completed. I would recommend Honey Homes to others that are looking for honest and trustworthy technicians. It’s well worth the price of the membership.
On paper, their business model is well suited for busy homeowners, and the use of technology is great. What can’t be replaced, however, is the human element and personal touch — especially for new customers. Honey Homes was prompt in setting up my first walk-through appointment with Kern. Once I enrolled, I was passed on to Dustin, who onboarded me on what to expect with their phone app, scheduling appointments, etc. For my first visit, I scheduled the installation/replacement of four existing ceiling fans. Dustin explained they have a mechanism in place to verify whether enough time has been allocated to complete the work. If not, they would recommend doubling the scheduled time. I never heard from anyone after scheduling my first appointment. I scheduled my first visit today from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Based on this, 1 hour and 45 minutes would be charged to my account since I paid over $3,200 for annual service. My assigned handyman, Ruben, installed one of the four ceiling fans in one hour. Since he still had 45 minutes remaining, I assumed he would have enough time to install the same fan in another room. He explained that he only had until noon to complete the work, and that from noon to 12:15 he needed to upload photos and complete “paperwork” summarizing his work. Because of this, he said he did not have enough time to install the second fan. While their business model may work for others, I’m uncomfortable paying for a year’s worth of service and not receiving the level of service I expected. I called Dustin while the handyman was on-site, but he was in a meeting and could not call me back — yet when I signed my annual contract, he was very proactive in reaching out. I chose to cancel my annual contract/membership and will not use them again.
Our handyman Jean is great! He communicates well and is very thorough in addressing the tasks we need done. Honey Homes is very easy to use and the support team is super helpful when I need them. Using this service has helped us get a lot of things done around the house that we need to have completed but don’t always have time to address. Highly recommend. Our experience has been great.
We have had an excellent experience with Honey Homes! James is our typical handyman and he gets work done efficiently with keeping an eye on detail. Excellent quality work. He has repaired cabinets, hung photos and large art pieces, repaired our garage door, repaired oven front, weatherstripping and helped deep clean our grill. I could go on, but well worth the money and investment to work with Honey homes.
We absolutely love Honey Homes! It's taken so much mental load from managing our home, as we can input tasks quickly into the app, easily schedule visits with our amazing handypro Christian, and feel like our home is being taken care of. I also love the seasonal offerings so we can stay on top of things like gutter cleaning, power washing, etc. Plus having everything in one place feels so much simpler than outsourcing it all. What a game changer!
