House Party Improv : une improvisation inspirée par le public qui transforme les suggestions en d’énormes éclats de rire.
House Party Improv est un club de comédie à San Antonio où des artistes dynamiques transforment des suggestions aléatoires du public en des scènes d’improvisation dynamiques de 10 minutes. Les spectateurs apprécient les spectacles les vendredis et samedis soirs (parfois le jeudi), souvent au Black Potion, avec une énergie remarquable de la part d’artistes comme Aedri et Paul. Le lieu propose également des cours et des ateliers du mercredi, en bâtissant une communauté d’improvisateurs accueillante et créative.

Looking for a Saturday night plan? Go see this group! Aedri and Paul are absolutely electric on stage. The way they take a random audience suggestion and turn it into a 10-minute comedic masterpiece is mind-blowing. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Highly recommend for a date night or a night out with friends!!!

I've seen three shows at this venue, and each one has been wonderful. The actors and improvisers are extremely talented and bring a lot of energy to every scene. It’s a great place to enjoy some laughs, go on a fun date night, or just escape the stresses of everyday life for a while. I'll definitely be back when I get the chance!

There’s a lot more to House Party Improv than meets the eye, in the best way possible. If you’re looking for a great time of hilarity on a Friday or Saturday night (sometimes Thursday), then you gotta check out their shows at Black Potion. Always a great time. But it isn’t just the shows that are impressive and meaningful. Through the classes and Wednesday workshops they offer, House Party Improv is also creating and cultivating a community of funny and talented people. I arrived in San Antonio a smidge before the pandemic, and mostly had work friends until the pandemic. Once the pandemic hit, we all know how that went. Eventually my job transitioned permanently to WFH. Aside from my g/f and her family, I didn’t have many folks I considered friends here. I supposed I started doubting myself and my abilities a little. But, once I started taking classes with House Party Improv, I couldn’t have felt more welcomed and made tons of friends. The skills I’m learning from improv are not only helping me be more present in life, but also reawakening my passion for performing after being dormant for quite some time. Now, are the classes sometimes challenging if you’re completely new to improv? Totally. You’re learning a new skill. But, eventually those challenging lessons reveal some of the best lessons. This place and the community have been a beacon of light and rejuvenation for me, so there’s a chance it might do something for you too. Those curious should try the Wednesday workshops. Those interested should definitely sign up for classes. Can’t recommend this enough. Long story short, like the two main rules in improv, say “yes and…” give house party a try because you’re going to have fun.

This is a hidden gem in San Antonio, every show is a little different. Hilariously funny and always a good time. Highly recommend!!! Loved the show with Butter!!!
