Lois at the San Mateo location was great. But the service is just too expensive. It was $1000 to file 2021 and 2022 taxes, and I had no idea of that price from the person who first helped me (not Lois). It was pretty stressful and took months to find my paperwork again, it was lost, but Lois helped me and we got it done. But I don't think I would go back again because of the expense.

I booked a drop off appointment for taxes and upon arrival, my agent, Josh, acted as though I was a stranger and he had no idea why l was there. I sat down with him to briefly explain and it turned into an awkward twenty minute bumbling around by Josh. I made sure he knew it was a drop off right off the bat, but I was forced to remind him after it seemed like he was beginning a sit down appointment. It would have been okay if my time wasn’t so booked. I was later called by Josh to pick up my prepared documents and when I arrived for that, I was rudely greeted by a new agent who volunteered to taken me to her desk to figure out my reason for being there. It was so mismanaged. She had to do a few minutes of digging to even find me on the schedule (someone else who wasn’t there was supposed to take care of me). I told her I needed to be gone soon as my ride was waiting for me, but the whole process took a painful hour to complete. The last fifteen minutes were spent annoyingly waiting for the computer to work in order to take my payment. I feel lied to and manipulated. I was forced to pay money and precious time (about two hours with driving included) despite all the headache of this “drop off” appointment. I am so dissatisfied with this business and the manager who tried to help, but seemed too annoyed to really care.
