I am very displeased with the direction Ikea is taking. The customer service at the Atlanta store is very poor. I do not like the required self check out. I am surprised there aren't any cashiers available. When I inquired where the cashier was as I expecting at least one, I was told they did not have the staff available. I saw at least 9 employees nearby not doing anything, 4 were handing out bags to the customers entering the store. During my recent trip, I asked about hand sanitizer at the checkout kiosks and was told there was none. Georgia has an exploding flu epidemic! When I mentioned this to the "manager" she said she was not required to provide this law!!! What! How about common courtesy. I will not be back to Ikea anytime soon and until they learn to provide better customer service.
IKEA - Midtown (Atlanta) Colorful lights, elegant kitchens, cozy bedrooms and comfortable living spaces is what IKEA well known for. Located on, 441 16th Street. It is fairly larger than other locations I’ve visited. To help with influx of customers, they offer a large underground parking garage with 3+ Levels. I always enjoy coming to IKEA. Two of my favorites at IKEA are elegant Kitchen Displays and multitude of Light Displays. Both have so much imagination that you have to be careful. Otherwise, you may spend hours in each area, without realizing it. Hehe. This location didn’t disappoint. It had so much that there was something for everyone. Next time you visit ATL, stop by here.
IKEA is a great store! Very organized process. Very clean store. Great prices! This last visit, the furniture we were purchasing, on display there was a glass topper that could be places over the furniture itself to help protect it. This topper showed that it wasn't available in the store nor was it available for shipping. It mentioned to "see an associate." When we saw the associate, he said that the product has been discontinued. It is unacceptable to display an item in the store that there is no way to purchase. While walking through the display area of this store, the views are excellent!
IKEA Atlanta is huge and really well laid out, making it easy to explore everything from furniture to kitchen essentials in one trip. The showroom is inspiring with tons of setups that give you real ideas for your home, and the marketplace downstairs has all the practical items at very affordable prices. The cafeteria is also a nice bonus – the Swedish meatballs are definitely worth trying. Parking can be a bit hectic on weekends since it gets really crowded, but if you go on a weekday the experience is much smoother. Staff were helpful and checkout was organized with plenty of self-checkout options. Overall, it’s a great place to shop for stylish, budget-friendly furniture and home goods in Atlanta.
Sign up for the Friends and family and get half priced lunch during the week. Love me some sweetish meetballs!! Also I obtained the best shower curtin liners. My friend swears by them... the cats don't attack them and they are resistant to mold!
