I’ve been to Il Forno three different times now, and each visit is exceptional. I love the atmosphere, the staff and service are exceptional, and the food has always been phenomenal. At Il Forno, you’ll find some of the best, most authentic Italian food in Nashville. Freshly made pizza and pasta dough made in-house daily truly make a difference and set them apart from the typical chain “Italian American” restaurant experience. After my first visit, I knew it’d be a regular date-night spot. The owners really care about the quality of their customers experience and take pride in their culture and their work. I’m excited to explore more of the menu with time and try everything I can!

This is a nice Italian restaurant. I came here for a TimeLeft dinner with four other guys meeting for the first time, so perhaps going to a date night, moody-lit spot was an interesting choice...but loved the meatballs and the salads were amazing as well!

Service was very underwhelming. All three in our party agreed the food was very good. We arrived early so not busy at all. Don’t expect much from a service standpoint and you’ll enjoy the visit based on quality of food.

Called in to order food and the guy picked up like he was auditioning for The Godfather: Olive Garden Edition. The fakest Italian accent I’ve ever heard. sounded like Mario and Tony Soprano had a baby and left it in Little Caesars. I half expected him to threaten me with a breadstick shiv. The place itself looks cool, clean enough that I didn’t feel like I’d catch a disease, so points for that. Now the food, it was fine. Not bad, not life changing. The margherita pizza tasted suspiciously like… pizza. The Bella and the Amore? Also pizza. Shocking, I know. I guess if you put an Italian sounding name on cardboard with cheese, it makes it authentic. Whitewash me harder, daddy. Tried the pappardelle too. Even the “Italian” guy butchered the pronunciation (he’s probably named Brad), but the lamb tomato sauce slapped. Respect where it’s due. Overall? If you’ve never left the U.S., this place will make you feel so cultured. It’s Olive Garden in cosplay. Like dating a girl who insists she’s Italian because her great-great-grandpa once waved at the Mayflower.

We arrived at 6:30 pm my reservation was for two people but my son decide to join us. The hostess was horrible she doesn’t know how to multitask she keep us waiting for 10 minutes other people show up and immediately We’re seated and we still standing waiting for a table RUDE! Then they put us outside when we request inside seating. Our server was really great 👍🏽 the food we order was good I love the Carpaccio di púlpito was amazing, the bruschettas was awesome but!!!! The pizza was way too heavy in the sauce and it was making it undercooked and saggy. The lobster ravioli wasn’t ravioli it was tortellinis has great flavor but a bit undercooked the same with the pappardelle pasta 🍝 And the cocktails 🍹 uff supper good is a solid 6 out of 10 for me I could give more but unfortunately the hostes ruin the experience!
