Wow!! What a wonderful birthday experience we had at Il Porcellino. The food was fresh, flavorful, delicious, and a complete 10/10 from the appetizers all the way to the dessert. What made this visit even better (as if that was possible), was the complete dedication to detail from our wonderful waitress and the entire team at Il Porcellino. The customer experience was absolutely top notch and everyone was so pleasant, friendly, and beyond accommodating to make sure we had a great experience, including the manager checking in on us and even taking our leftovers, boxing them up, and giving them back to us. I cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu!

I got the pesto ravioli and my husband got the lasagna. Rav is decent, wish it was garlicky but that’s personal taste. The lasagna was great!! Loved our server and the ambiance was sooo cute and romantic. I loved all the lights!! Would go again for sure.

I enjoyed every aspect of the Friday evening. It has a great atmosphere, music levels were just right. The food was top notch. Garlic bread was awesome, a must have. Italian sausage and grilled calamari were so yummy. Pasta being tasty is just an understatement. One of the highlights to our Chicago visit!

We tried a few things here: grill calamari, Brussels sprouts, gnocchi, lasagna and the Italian donuts. The food was good. Nice ambience! We had a reservation so we didn’t have to wait, but it was pretty busy for a Monday night. My favorite was the calamari. I do wish it was a little more grilled, more charred. The texture of the gnocchi was good. The sauce was good, not too salty or sour. The lasagna was rich and tall. The bacon in Brussels sprouts were pretty thick and not tiny - we liked that.

This is the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to. Our experience since we entered was great. The hostess kindly greeted us and our server, Luigi I believe was his name, was very attentive and professional. We got the pear burrata to start, the rigatoni alla vodka, a mojito, a peach cocktail, and the tiramisu for dessert. There was not a thing we didn’t enjoy. We could feel the quality of the ingredients and the experience of the chefs. The music and lighting are perfect and welcoming, the cocktails were delicious and our food as well. We can’t wait to be back. I’m glad we made a reservation because the place gets very busy and by the time we had our drinks we saw there was already a long line! You can’t miss this spot in Chicago!
