Judge for yourself: My car was in storage and when I took it out, a tire appeared to be leaking. Needing to drive it that afternoon to my destination, I stopped at IVS. I was seen immediately. They inspected not only the tires, but the car as well. Within an 30min we had diagnosed the problem and within an hour I was on the road again. Because the problem did not turn out to be a tire leak, they didn't even charge me. I couldn't be thankful enough!

My experience was SO much better than I expected!! I own a Ural motorcycle. Not that common, and I’ve discovered that not a lot of mechanics can work on it. But I love it and don’t ever want to let it go. Well, one day something was wrong with it, and for the life of me I couldn’t figure out what it was. So frustrating!! My friend did an online search, and found that there was a Ural mechanic at Independent Vehicle Service in Albuquerque nm. We called and made an appointment. It’s a 4 hour drive for us, but the bike road great on the trailer. We dropped the Ural off at IVS and went off for food. Just a few hours later, the mechanic, Derek, called and told me it seemed to be running great after what he had done, and would I like him to drive by where I was so I could check it out. (I was only two blocks away) of course I said yes, and minutes later there he was with my Ural, sounding and running like never before! Derek is a steely eyed Ural GURU!! From now on, he is the only one that gets to work on her!
I can't say enough good things about the kindness and outstanding customer service of the employees at this shop! They helped me out big time when I was driving cross country and my car overheated. It was a Friday afternoon and I thought I might be stranded in Albuquerque for the night, but I called IVS and explained my situation and they got me in immediately. They checked my car thoroughly, took it for a test drive, and topped off my coolant. They did this while allowing me and my dog to sit in their waiting room with a cold bottle of water they provided. My car was okay and they gave me advice on how to prevent it from overheating again for the remainder of my trip. Then they refused to charge me as they said they didn't fix anything! They helped me out when I was in a tough spot, and I highly recommend them to anyone in the area!
