I’m writing this review to warn others so they don’t experience what we did. A door-to-door salesman from Insight Pest Control approached us while we were doing yard work. He claimed their service was safer for pets, people, and the environment, said many neighbors were using them, and repeatedly stated we could cancel anytime if we weren’t satisfied. That turned out to be untrue. After the first treatment, we experienced a severe ant infestation in our garage — something we had NEVER had before. When we called for help, we were sent straight to voicemail and did not receive timely assistance. We had to handle the infestation ourselves. Despite the service not working, we were charged $894.53 for four very short visits. When I tried to cancel due to cost and poor results, I was told I could not cancel without a large cancellation fee — directly contradicting what the salesman told us. After I canceled and believed the account was closed, $787 was later withdrawn from my bank account without authorization. Note: I did not sign a Contract all I signed was an understanding check list, Pretty much understanding what the sales man was telling us, and I signed for them to use my Debit card. No contract with cancelation fees. This company uses misleading sales tactics, has poor customer service, and makes it extremely difficult to cancel. If they get your card information, be very careful. I strongly recommend not doing business
This company is shady. They have high pressure sales show up and rush through a "contract" that is really a post card with check boxes on it and no signature, later they claim its an 18 month contract with horrible cancelation fees. Their business tactics are terrible and their accounting department is also inexperienced and screwed my account up every month. They push for you to give them a 5 star review when they come to do the first service (to the point the guy stood over me while I filled it out to make sure I did it) and then they tell you it will take 2 weeks for the first treatment to even take effect. The only good thing I can say about them is the technician who came to our resident the last two times before I tried to cancel was really nice and did a good job, but overall I would not recommend doing business with this company!
This is one of the worst companies I’ve ever had to deal with. They lock you in to contract without telling you what you’re even signing. With no way to cancel except to pay $600 cancel fee. They are not a company that backs their product or service and don’t care if you even want their “services”! I will advise every person I know to avoid this company. And I will end my service as soon as this “contract” is up. They are predatory!! My service technician Wesley is very nice and friendly. He’s efficient and communicative on what was accomplished. I’d give him 5 stars for his service.
Long story short, we have really enjoyed our pest control technician. Our initial sign-up was a little rocky. We were confused by the details, but customer service was able to work with us. And our regular tech, Wesley, is fantastic! He’s very friendly. he communicates well and he’s very thorough. When we do need a retreat, he’s ready and willing to do the job. :)
We found several active wasp nests and an active volleyball sized yellow jacket nest and Wesley was happy, almost excited to help take care of them for us. Would definitely recommend insight! Thanks Wesley!
