Restaurant Review: Isabell’s Amor – Gilbert, AZ We had a wonderful experience at Isabell’s Amor in Gilbert. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome—very friendly, attentive, and clearly experienced. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with warm aesthetics that make the dining experience feel special. The menu looked fantastic, offering a wide variety of dishes that were both appealing and thoughtfully crafted. We’re already looking forward to coming back and trying many more of the options available. Overall, we highly recommend Isabell’s Amor for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a charming atmosphere.
I ate here last week while visiting Gilbert for a couple weeks. I selected this restaurant because I’m vegan and I was really excited to have an option. The vegan dish was good, but not great. I had really high expectations because I was in Arizona. I hate to say that I’ve had better Mexican food back home in the Midwest. Similar to previous reviews here, it was underwhelming. I did enjoy my dish, but it may as well have been fast food. The biggest disappointment was that the chips were made in lard. I couldn’t enjoy the salsa. I do give credit to our really awesome server who sent me home with the salsa but I had to buy chips on the way back so I could eat it later. Our server was very kind and she worked hard to ensure we had a nice visit. I don’t know that I’ll go back just because of the one vegan dish. It didn’t really wow me.
I had such a great meal at this restaurant! The prickly pear margarita was awesome—perfectly balanced, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweet. I ordered my usual favorites, tacos and nachos, and both were outstanding. The tacos were flavorful and fresh, but the nachos were next-level. I loved that they were built individually, each chip loaded with toppings instead of everything being piled in the center. It made every bite delicious and perfectly balanced. Overall, amazing food, great drinks, and such a fun meal. Can’t wait to go back and try the other margaritas!
underwhelmed. I make it myself, at home, so I was really hoping theirs would be nicer level. The beans are good, the rice was okay, the tortillas were delicious. Next time I’ll try yet another dish and see if that one hits the spot. Added note, the staff were all very nice and the service was good!
Beautiful place and amazing Mexican food. Coming from a Mexican home, it’s always hard to find quality Mexican food. Their Enchiladas with rice and beans were to die for. We also got a torta and it was delicious. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Only thing we didn’t like were the tamales but everything else 10/10!
