We are a high-volume independent family medicine clinic that engaged IT Practice (ITP) for full-service IT support, including EHR, server, and network management. Due to contract violations, delayed communication, and unprofessional conduct, we terminated the relationship. We strongly caution other medical practices against working with this company. Summary of key issues: 1. Poor communication: Complex issues were often ignored or delayed unless escalated. Some requests went unanswered for extended periods. 2. Lack of leadership: The company’s leadership admitted difficulty keeping up with communications, requiring repeated follow-up and meetings to close tickets. In conversations with leadership, responsibility for issues was at times deflected to the client or even their own employees. 3. Unprofessional recommendations: Hardware advised by ITP proved inadequate for our EHR system, and they billed us to diagnose their own misconfiguration. 4. Withholding of critical information: During transition to another vendor, they withheld essential system documentation until the day of changeover, causing significant disruption. 5. Misrepresentation of services: “24×7 monitoring” was redefined as unmonitored software logging, with no actual response outside business hours. While some staff were pleasant to work with and did resolve several issues, overall our experience showed poor accountability and professionalism.

They’re honest, responsive, and truly go above and beyond to help. Special shoutout to Tony (the owner) and Stephen—they’re the best of the best! Hiring IT Practice was the best decision I made as a startup practice owner. I was on a very quick timeline and many other vendors/service providers said there was no way it could be done. Tony told me directly “we will not be the reason your opening is delayed.” It made me so calm and his company completely delivered. 3 months in, I love my set up and how everything IT functions perfectly. Any hiccups with our web based EMR his team fixes immediately. All the techs are great and Adrian who did our computer set up did a great job. So glad they are NC based. Writing doctor correspondence notes takes me Hours as a specialist and it used to be the worst part of my job. With the setup I have from IT practice with my giant monitor and all the software functioning perfectly side by side, I actually enjoy that part of the day now. I always feel like my practice is a big priority with Tony constantly checking on us to make sure it’s all smooth. I appreciate IT practice so much and credit them for being able to open on time and why our systems run so smoothly everyday.
