septic was leaking out onto driveway. they pumped it, then used a high power water stream and checked it with a camera. Very thorough, knowledgeable and pleasant. I recommend Jacks Septic 100%!! another company told me I needed a new leach field...these guys know what they're doing!
Called and they came the very next day. Very professional and did a great job - especially considering the septic hadn't been pumped out in almost 20 years and it had to be dug out to get uncovered! Hats off to Tim and Rick - very personable and very professional! Would definitely recommend Jack's Septic Service! They know their stuff!
I’m so glad I spoke with my neighbors because they referred me to Jack’s Septic Service, and I couldn’t be happier with the recommendation. From start to finish, the team was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They came prepared with top-of-the-line equipment and handled everything quickly and efficiently. It’s such a relief to know there’s a company you can count on to do the job right the first time. I’ll definitely be calling Jack’s again in the future and recommending them to anyone who needs septic service
I am an executor for the estate of my brother in law who passed away suddenly a few months ago. Among the few assets in the estate was a house that he and my deceased sister renovated. In a long ago life it was a railroadman’s shack that sat along the trolly/train tressel on the line from Syracuse-Manlius-Cazenovia. It took a long time to get the house ready to sell. Just as I was about to list it we noticed a sizable hole in the side yard that had not existed before. It could only be the implosion of an ancient septic tank. I had heard good things about Jack’s Septic so I called and spoke with Jack. He was over the next day and despite being very busy fit me in right away. He and his 2 long term crew were there and took out the old destroyed tank and installed a new large tank. As had been the case with every project in the house, there was a large new wrinkle. There had only been 1 leech line. It had been only 10 feet long and it had disintegrated into nothing. The present code provisions would not allow a simple replacement. Which prompted Jack and I to spend hours measuring to make sure the distances were proper and that we could fit it all on the property. Jack and crew spent the better part of the next 3 days with 3 different excavators digging through layer after layer of limestone to create a perfect leech field. He even used the dug up limestone to create a driveway and car pad for the new owners to have room for multiple cars and a turnaround for any size vehicle. The house now has a brand new state of the art septic system thanks to Jack. I am thrilled with the results, the service I received, and the time and care that Jack showed throughout this ordeal. I highly recommend Jack’s Septic Service for anything to do with your Septic System. You will not find a better technician or person to do business with.
We needed someone to pump our septic tank for routine maintenance, so I searched for septic service companies in the area and came across Jack’s Septic. He appeared to have good reviews, so I called and spoke to Jack, who told me that he could be out to my house on a Monday afternoon after 2 o’clock. After making sure that someone was at the house all afternoon, Jack did not show up and did not call to let me know that he was not going to be out. I followed up the next day, and Jack told me that he could come on Wednesday afternoon instead. While getting started, it was discovered that the lid to the septic tank was deeper than originally anticipated and Jack had his worker begin to dig by hand with a shovel. It took an hour and a half to dig up the lid to the septic tank. During this time, Jack requested a chair so that he could sit in my driveway and smoke a cigar, requested Advil/water for a headache, and his worker complained loudly on the phone while digging. At one point during this time Jack went and sat in his truck in the A/C while waiting for his worker to finish digging. Once the lid had been dug up, Jack was surprised to see that it was larger and heavier than originally anticipated. He asked us to go out and help them pull the lid off of the top of the tank. We were able to get the lid so that it was leaning across the top of the tank, and pumped it. After pumping was completed, Jack informed me that he would not be able to put the lid back on the tank and fill the hole because he did not want to be liable if the lid fell into the tank, and he did not have a machine that he could use to pull the lid up and out of the hole. He also made sure to let us know that he would never touch or service our septic tank again. When we asked him how we were supposed to close up the tank, he advised us to go to Lowe’s and buy the materials to build a riser that would bring the lid closer to the surface. Not feeling comfortable with a DIY solution, I had to hire a different company that was able to come out, and they pulled out the lid and installed a riser with no problem. This company also informed us that the DIY solution that Jack had suggested was not the correct or safe way to install a riser. Not only did Jack leave a job unfinished, he left me with an open septic tank and a hole in my front yard that posed a significant risk to the safety of anyone that might come on my property. I could never with a good conscience recommend his services to anyone. This pictures included are examples of the condition of my tank and yard when Jack left.
