2024 taxes was my first time ever having my taxes done professionally very happy with the staff are tax expert was Tara she is amazing at her job and very enjoyable to work with hoping she's at the same location next yr when we come back for 2025 Tax season

I came here last year for assistance in filing my 2023 tax return. I believe it was Autumn that helped me. She was great and worked through my return with me thoroughly. However, I recently came to the same location again in January 2025 to file 2024 taxes & had an opposite experience. The woman, I believe her name was Tara, assisted me. She seemed new at the position given the multiple things she did throughout the entire meeting that happened. The entire session, she looked over to her colleague at the cubicle next to her and continually asked her questions about what to do when entering my information into the computer? Which was concerning & questioning because she was blurting out my information for the entire room to hear. Not only that, but I was concerned she didn’t know what she was doing with my information… and was a little worried that she may be entering incorrect information. Even so, I continued to have patience and trust in her since her colleague was giving her direct answers. I understand she just probably needed guidance. She sat at the computer and did not walk me through anything. I asked her to tell me what she was doing and she just replied that she was working on completing it for me? That’s all. When the time came to sign documents, I asked her to review documents with me before signing them -again because she wasn’t walking me through anything and I had no idea what I was signing for. She questioned me because she’s “never had a client ask her to review the documents” with her before? She also found it an issue to physically print off my entire tax return because I have access to it electronically. She was overall very unprofessional. To add, in the middle of working through it, a random man who I assumed was a supervisor just came in and sat behind her and watched her enter info in the computer - another point to me assuming she was new. It was like he was auditing her work, looking over her shoulder. Then what became the cherry on top was she began to “laugh” at the amount I owed to federal because it was a surprising amount she never seen before. She looked over to her colleagues and told them the amount I owed which I thought was disrespectful. Not only is she sharing my personal info with her colleagues but the cubicles in this building are all open, not private. So everyone in the building heard her (other clients including) and she wasn’t mindful of that. I will continue working with Jackson Hewitt in the future & referring people to their services, but I don’t recommend visiting or using this specific location. The atomsphere was not welcoming and after hearing all the employees laugh at my numbers out loud, I am choosing to not return due to the unprofessionalism and disrespect.
