My son has ADHD and been attending since July. I have seen so much improvement in his self confidence, body awareness, auditory processing and impulse control. Everyone is kind and supportive and the teachers do a great job providing firm but loving instruction to the students. We love Jae Hun Kim Taekwon-do Institute!
This school is incredibly special and has played a pivotal role in my life. It has given me strength, confidence, fitness, and community in a way other activities and studios have not and I am so grateful that I decided to come here and continue my martial arts training. Mr. Kim is an amazing mentor and has truly built such a special system here that is legitimate and trains you to learn the true art of Taekwondo.
Every instructor is phenomenal, with adults and children. It is a gift that for more than 50 years, students in Boston have daily access to Grandmaster Kim. ALL skill levels are welcome here. I have been coming for three months and am giant fan of the Boston location.
This dojang reignited my love for martial arts after a past injury left me hesitant to return. It helped me rebuild trust, strength, and confidence. Grandmaster Kim is an incredible teacher — patient, passionate, and deeply committed to his students. You can feel how much care and heart he puts into every class. Though I’m moving away before earning my black belt, I’m so grateful for the time I had here. This school truly empowered me, and I hope to return to taekwondo someday with this foundation.
This unassuming door front, around the corner form Fenway Stadium, leads to a gem of a place! Go up a set of steep stairs and you will find an authentic and amazing Taekwon-do school led by master and living legend-Jae H. Kim. This martial arts institution is the real deal. Learners of all ages, backgrounds and abilities epitomize the tenets of ethical self conduct and unity among members. My daughter began taking classes here for a year and a half and we love it! As an educator myself, I truly appreciate and value the education my child receives both externally with developing strength, agility, and self defense skills and internally with self-confidence, understanding earning rank through hard-work & practice, and feeling part of a community that helps one another. There are 49 Jae H. Kim schools in 9 countries, but this one in Boston is the original and he teaches here! We feel really fortunate to be part of this school.
