This is a product review, on their Bamboo Hidden Halo Side Stone Diamond Engagement Ring I submitted this review on the James Allen website over a week ago, but it has not yet been published. The site indicates that reviews are moderated and that I would be notified once it appears. The design of this ring is beautiful, but the quality has been deeply disappointing. In less than three years, one of the small accent diamonds has already fallen out. I purchased the ring in February 2022. It was resized twice, with the second resizing done in February 2023 through Jared. Even after resizing, the ring still feels loose. At that time, I was told it could not be made any smaller without risking structural damage. Because of this limitation, I have worn the ring only about half the time since purchasing it. Given the limited wear, I did not expect a diamond to fall out so soon. This raises serious concerns about the durability and craftsmanship of the setting. I also contacted customer service and was advised to ship the ring in for an estimate, at my own expense. I was surprised this could not be handled through Jared to avoid shipping, especially considering the ring’s age and limited use. Overall, while the design is lovely, the quality has not met reasonable expectations.
I recently traded in a ring I had purchased from James Allen a few years ago to upgrade, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. I chose an oval diamond with a halo setting, and while the process felt a bit confusing at first, everything became incredibly easy once I was assigned a service associate who specializes in upgrades. The communication was excellent from start to finish. My associate stayed in constant contact via email, answered all of my questions promptly, and made me feel completely confident throughout the process—especially when shipping my original ring to them and later receiving the new one. When my new ring arrived, it was even more beautiful than I could have imagined. The craftsmanship and sparkle are absolutely stunning. I couldn’t be happier with my upgrade and the level of service I received. I would 10/10 recommend James Allen to anyone considering an upgrade or new purchase.
Great experience. Went to the store in Georgetown and the ladies were great. They asked the right questions to find the perfect piece, gave me all the info and sent me an email with details for me to order online when we were ready. Finally order my ring and diamond, but made a mistake with the size. All I had to do was call the 24 hour customer service line and the fix my mistake right away. The ring came before it was scheduled and it is all I imagined and more. Love my new ring. Great experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
I had such a great experience at James Allen. I designed my now, fiancés engagement ring completely online, and the process was smooth, simple, and surprisingly fun. Purchased our wedding ring and engagement ring here many moons ago. Then a decade later back for an upgrade. Both purchase experience were great from scheduling initial appointment, to stone selections, to viewing and finalizing. The quality of the stones are trustworthy. And that’s what we came here for. Can we find what we want elsewhere and cheaper? Yes, but we came to James Allen for a piece of mind, knowing we are getting what we pay for with no doubts afterwards.
