Janene's Bridal made my wedding dress shopping experience special. Everyone was so supportive and helpful. Sabrina was the best! She has excellent advice and great ideas. She is truly a gem. I highly recommend going to Janene's!
I would highly recommend Janene's Bridal to anyone. We ended up coming to Janene's after a terrible start at Glamour Closet SF where we experienced rude customer service and long wait times. We called Janene's and they welcomed us in for a walk in appointment. Renee was simply amazing. She gave us a tour of all the dresses and then let us wonder around the store picking out the dresses I wanted to try on. I really appreciated the logical way the dresses were organized by silhouette and by level of detail. There were so many amazing dresses to choose from, and I ended up trying on 8 dresses. Renee was incredibly patient and helped me envision the alterations that I would need to have made to each dress to meet my needs. I was limited on my time turn around and they had many dresses available that I could take home that day. They were also having a black Friday sale, so I was able to take home my dress for $1500. So happy I stumbled upon Janene's and found my perfect dress!
Janene’s bridal was the worst part of my wedding. I purchased my wedding dress from this store, and I do not recommend visiting this store as my experience was really disappointing. When I tried the dress on, I was told by the staff that the straps could be significantly shortened to provide more coverage over the cleavage area. This was the main factor in my decision to purchase the dress as I was looking for a modest dress. However, after buying the dress when I had my appointment with the seamstress, I was told that shortening the straps further would make the dress painfully tight around the arms and underarm area. I consulted two other seamstresses and they said the same thing. I trusted what I was told at the store as I was overseas stuck with the disastrous advice given from Janene’s bridal team, and proceeded with the alterations asking the seamstress to shorten the straps as advised by the store, under my responsibility. While this did increase the coverage, the result was unbearable. Within just two minutes of trying the altered dress on, my arm started bleeding from how tight the fit was, and I was in tears from the pain. Clearly, wasn’t going to be able to wear the dress like that for my wedding, bleeding my arms out. I ended up having to re-lengthen the straps back to their original position, which left me feeling incredibly uncomfortable and dissatisfied on one of the most important days of my life, I was devastated on my wedding day all because I was misled during the purchase. Also, the dress originally came with an overskirt as part of its design, but the one I bought from the store did not include it. When I contacted the store, they told me that the dress is sold “as-is” since this is an off-the-rack shop. While I understand that off-the-rack items are sold in their current condition, this should not mean selling a dress that’s missing key elements of its original design without disclosing that to the customer. They only acknowledged the missing piece after I sent them a photo of the original design and asked about it. Instead of resolving the issue, they offered to sell me an overskirt from a different designer, which didn’t make sense, why should I have to buy a part of the dress that should have already been included? I visited many bridal stores across several cities, a lot of them were off-the-rack too, and all of them clearly disclosed if a dress was missing any original components. This is the bare minimum, especially for something as special as a wedding gown. Unfortunately, my experience at this store was horrible. It was filled with misleading information and a lack of accountability. They lack morality and only care about selling their dresses. I would not recommend it to future brides looking for honesty, and professionalism.
I had the best service since the first day of booking my appointment. Kim made sure to answer all the questions I had and was extremely patient and sweet. Renee was sooo fun and she really helped me find the perfect dress for me! They are very size inclusive and have a wide variety of dresses that I got to choose from! I ended up getting my dream dress off the rack and in my size 🥰 the whole team was incredible!
I had the most incredible experience at Janene’s Bridal in San Francisco! The entire appointment felt so special & personalized. I booked a 1.25-hour appointment for myself and 3 guests—my mom, sister, and grandma. We were able to order a bottle of champagne, which came a cute bar cart, with complimentary chocolates & fresh berries—a lovely touch. Even though my scheduled time was supposed to be just over an hour, Kimberly went above and beyond, allowing me to try on well past the time, so that I could try on every dress my family & I had selected. Her patience, attentiveness, & warm personality made what could have been an overwhelming day feel effortless and fun! It was a meaningful moment to have my guests there, and so comfortable. , I’m so grateful for how accommodating & welcoming the team was. I look forward to my next visit to Janene’s Bridal & recommend them to any bride-to-be looking for a special, stress-free, & memorable dress-shopping experience!
