Great place! I initially went b/c it was close to my house. However, it was an unexpected great experience. No wait to see the vet. They were so sweet to my pup. Had my questions answered, and I had many questions. So all in all I was very pleased and I’ll be going back.
I’ve been bringing my partner and I’s cats here for the past four years. The services and care that Dr. Suganuma (no longer at the practice) and Dr. Granzow (their current doctor) have provided have been nothing short of amazing. Dr. Granzow is great with our cats. She always meets them where they’re at, and her actions show that their care and comfort is her top priority. She is very straightforward and practical, and she never suggests anything that is unnecessary when deciding treatment for them. She lets us know all of our options and explains them thoroughly so we can make the best choice for our cats. She is always honest with what she thinks is the best treatment, but never makes you feel bad for choosing one way or another. Her practicality is refreshing. We’ve brought our cats to other veterinarians on island for specialty services, but for general care Kakaako is our favorite by far. Everyone else who works there are also kind and competent. I have peace of mind knowing that our cats are in good hands. Thank you all for all of your hard work. We appreciate it immensely.
One of the best vet experiences I've had anywhere in the US. Dr. G has been taking care of two of our cats since we arrived on the island and is always helpful and super responsive, they always follow up and truly care about your pets. At the same time they are not pushy towards unnecessary treatments or procedures. The front desk staff is also super nice and helpful. Parking / drop-off / pickup situation is a little confusing at first (you wait in your car until called in), but totally reasonable once you know what's going on, so don't let that bother you at first if you're thinking about taking your pets to this vet. Check in and out processes are super easy and smooth. I highly, highly recommend this vet!
We rescued a 3-day-old cat Charlie, and he was not in good shape from three days outside alon as a newborn. He has been to this clinic over 20 times and is doing great now at 6 months old. Amazing people and extra care visits and calls has made this place my animal Doctors of choice. Charlie is an amazing cat, and we're so happy he is with us. Thank you! Stagg Electric LLC.
My cat was trying to pee but little or nothing in litter box. She was acting ok but her appetite was low and frequency to litter box high. I called in the morning and they were able to take her in the same morning. Shawnee was very kind and understanding during intake. Dr. Sasaki was very thorough and informative. explained what she found and did not find. Suggested what I could do in the future to prevent a recurrance. Being able to drop her off for treatment and getting a call when she is ready for pick up is great. I would recommend this facility and staff for anyone needing pet care.
