I had an amazing experience with Katrina during my two-hour makeup lesson. She started by emphasizing the importance of skincare as the foundation for great makeup, which really set the stage for everything that followed. We walked through the entire process step by step—prepping the skin, applying foundation and concealer, using illuminator, shaping brows, and enhancing eyes and lips. Katrina’s knowledge of products and techniques is impressive. She clearly has a deep and broad understanding of makeup artistry, and she explained everything in a way that was easy to follow. What stood out to me was how attentive she was—she asked a lot of questions, really listened to my answers, and honored my preferences when it came to the style of makeup I was comfortable with. One thing I really appreciated was her hands-on teaching approach. She would demonstrate each technique on one side of my face, then have me replicate it on the other while she observed and gave helpful instructions and pointers. I was pretty tentative and nervous about this since I rarely wear makeup, but she was so patient and encouraging, which made the experience feel comfortable and empowering. The products she used were fantastic, and I was even able to purchase most of them after the lesson. I was also preparing for a wedding in a few weeks, and she helped me choose a makeup look that would complement my dress beautifully. It was so valuable to have an expert guide me on how to enhance my natural features in a way that still felt like me. I walked out of there feeling more glamorous than I ever had in my life! Katrina is truly a skilled and thoughtful professional, and I’m looking forward to booking future sessions with her!
Katrina is wonderful!! I’ve always worn makeup, but felt like my old products and techniques were no longer working for me now that I’m in my mid-50s. I was looking for someone to give me a personalized lesson and emailed Katrina; she responded right away and called to explain her services. When I arrived in her gorgeous studio, Katrina set me at ease immediately. After initial questions about skincare and what look I wanted to achieve, we went through my makeup and brushes to decide what to keep (I haven’t been thrilled with my makeup for a long time, so I was ready to start over). Katrina selected the perfect colors and formulas to suit me and walked me through applying them. She’s a master, and I was astonished at how my face transformed with her help. It was fun and I felt beautiful - my brows have never looked better!! I happily purchased several products from Katrina (so helpful that she stocks many of them) and she wrote down all of the brands and colors she used so I could buy the others myself. Katrina also provides a sort of “map” of where apply the products, as well as a few booklets with her tips - very helpful! The best part is that the lesson is in two sessions, so I get to come back after trying everything out on my own and ask follow-up questions or get advice for a different look. Katrina is so skilled at her craft, and she’s also such a lovely person. I definitely recommend seeking out her services!!
I went to Katrina for two makeup lessons, and the experience was amazing! She is so friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, which immediately put me at ease. I had a lot of fun during our sessions and learned techniques I could never figure out from watching YouTube videos. Katrina showed me multiple makeup looks (everyday, glam, etc) and her step-by-step guidance was easy to follow. I’ve already used what I learned to do my own makeup for a work event and family photos, and I felt so confident with the results. I highly recommend Katrina for anyone looking to improve their makeup skills!
After a two-visit lesson with Katrina, I feel like an enhanced version of myself, with a confidence that I haven't experienced in a decade. Katrina has truly managed to bring my inner beauty to the exterior through a very careful, thoughtful, and meaningful communication and listening process. My skin tone, texture, sensitivity, and lifestyle - combined with my facial features, contributed to her recommendations for both skin cleansing/moisturizing as well as makeup. My family gave me feedback after the first session and Katrina made slight adjustments to what are now rave reviews and a flawless look.
