Absolutely amazing food, perhaps the best sushi I've ever had despite the numerous places I've been to! Incredibly fresh and popular with those who know about it, which is problematic with the incredibly small stew that the place inhabits. Prepare to wait 2-3 hours on average for a table, with no reservations in advanced so you must be waiting by the door.

Truly one of the best sushi spots I have ever encountered and it was totally a lucky guess as a last-minute decision to find a place to eat on route from Dallas to Detroit. We did a Google map search for anything open near Toledo after 9 pm and arrived 30 mins before closing. Many other places we have been close-ish to kitchen closing time have given us bad service and attitude, but we were warmly greeted and did not feel hurried in the least. The sushi was unique, nicely presented, and delicious, and all the servers were beyond friendly. The only reasons for 4 stars on atmosphere- too brightly lit for the evening (one of my pet peeves for any restaurant serving food and alcohol at night) and the music was a bit loud for such a small space. Regardless - I will be back and hope you go too!

We made a reservation for the Omakase and we were not disappointed! I have had sushi from all over the country and multiple times in different trips to Japan, and this experience and sushi ranks with the best of them! I made the trip down from Michigan to eat here after a colleague suggested it and I believe this could be one of the top sushi places within a 3 hr radius. It is expensive but it is worth it!

In Toledo, Ohio there is the restaurant Kengo Sushi & Yakitori. A small Japanese restaurant. There are no reservations, but there is a waiting list. After a relaxed 30-minute wait, 3 seats were free for us at the bar. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The food couldn't be fresher. It was very, very tasty and we were always able to order more to try many of the dishes on offer. It may be a high-priced restaurant, but the food is unique.
