This is the classic lanes with a family owned generational management at my last awareness, of which the original owner is left handed and always bowled a certain lane (one of the original fewer than now numbers) and rumor has it the floor care crew complains of a rut in that lane from where he has rolled a consistent arc of proper spin created curve within a minor variance of paths over the countless frames he's rolled in that lane. Really only the lane care crew knows for certain if that is the case or not and it makes a nice folk lore triva type of tid bit story none the less. Overall this is a quality establishment of deep roots of what a bowling alley is supposed to be.
Terrible Experience – Discriminatory Treatment I had a very disappointing experience at this bowling facility. We came in excited to play, only to be told that there were no lanes available for us—yet shortly after, other groups were allowed to play. There was no clear explanation, no effort to accommodate us, and the staff’s attitude made the situation feel uncomfortable and unfair. The way we were treated felt discriminatory and unwelcoming. Instead of being honest or respectful, the staff dismissed us without any real attempt to help. Bowling should be a fun, inclusive activity, but this place made us feel singled out and unwelcome. The employee named Robert in the photo below is by far the worst staff member here. Many reviews mention issues with him, so I’m confused about why he’s still working at this alley. What is the owner thinking? Customer service matters, and so does treating everyone equally. Unfortunately, this facility failed on both. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a respectful and inclusive environment.
Kent Bowl is a great place to bowl with family and friends. Has that old school feel to bowling. The crew has been great for when I have parties for my kids. Any issues get dealt with quick. The food there is on point.
Prices are good and being able to pay per game is awesome. Lanes are nice. However, ball returns are in desperate need of replacement. I don't like bowling here with my own equipment due to how frequently ball returns stop or jam. All of the men at the front desk can be quite rude as well...it's not our fault that the balls keep getting stuck—chill with the glares and weird looks at customers when asked about anything, maybe. Michelle is always very kind and helpful, though. 😃 I know ownership has changed recently, so I hope the bowl can get the upgrades that it needs to stay competitive.
Brought a bachelorette party here impromptu and they were very accommodating! Jerry was especially helpful with all of our requests. Overall we had a very fun time! :)
