OMG I MET COCAINE BEAR. I wouldn't have known this place existed had it not been for a friend of mine, so I'm super thankful he told me about it. You not only get to meet THE Cocaine Bear (which is a true story; you have got to look it up), they have tons of fun Kentucky shirts and things. I got a t-shirt featuring Mary Todd Lincoln wearing a rainbow skirt riding a disco unicorn. You read that right.
Nice quirky store with a nice and helpful employee. T-shirts are pricey but was able to find what I was looking for.
Louisville is a great place to visit. A lot of history and charm to be found. Louisville Slugger is a busy place however they are quick and efficient. While you wait for a personalized baseball bat, you can grab a bite to eat at a distillery. There are lots of bourbon chocolate stores. The scenery through Kentucky may be flat but in the cities and towns, it is amazing.
Check out the famous bear! After doing research of the area before our roadtrip, we knew we needed to check out this quirky place. If you don’t know the story of this bear, look it up. This stuffed bear has changed hands many times and is now housed at the Ky for Ky Fun Mall! Not only does this building have this awesome attraction, but some other great items from notable people in the area. Want something to remember this visit? Lots of funny and just plain cool Ky themed apparel and gift items to purchase! Worth the stop! In-store pickup and shopping. Credit cards accepted. *wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot.
Penelope has been saving her money to help fund the 6.5 hour road trip to visit Cocaine Bear. She was not disappointed… she said it was absolutely magical and she’s totally in love 😍 We really enjoyed all the cool KY merch, Ernest’s outfit & of course the main attraction! Very nice employee went out of his way to find a sweatshirt for me. Didn’t catch his name but he was fantastic, too!
