Excellent refinishing work on a 25 year-old coffee table that still had lots of life left in it but just needed a bit of TLC. The end result returned the table to like new status. Communication from Kim was clear, honest and timely. They even came in under the original quote, as some of the originally quoted work didn't need to be done. Highly recommended.

KFR Restoration + Design custom built cabinets, a bench and hooks for our newly built mudroom. Kim took the basic, unfinished design that another company put together for us and not only brought it to fruition, but improved it with the finishing and nuance in the details. The result is beautiful, functional, and very much to our somewhat perfectionistic desires. The build came in under all other estimates. More importantly, Kim was transparent throughout all aspects, letting us know what was and was not included in the initial estimate, how our decisions and selection would increase costs along the way, and what options we had. She also helped us keep to our timeline by assisting with decisions and checking in regularly - something we very much needed and appreciated. The build went in smooth and efficiently. The final touch ups and clean up occurred until we were 100% satisfied - something that did not take long. One of the most unique aspects of this job was the coat hooks. We had a large chunk of a tree trunk from our own tree that had to come down. This tree was particularly meaningful to our family and we wanted to use it in some way. One idea that came up was to use it as the backing for the hooks. The wood was not in good shape though. After multiple ideas and attempts, Kim and her team were able to make the idea work; we love the result! All in all - this was the first positive contractor experience that we have had. Kim and her team delivered on all fronts while limiting our stress and not . We will definitely have more work done by KFR!

The set hadn't had any work done since my grandfather refinished the tops in the 1960s. Kim kept us informed with emails and photos and consulted with us as the job progressed.
