Absolutely loved this place! Jodi was our server and did an amazing job. The fried mushrooms were the best ever and everyone loved their food!!!

Back in 2017 We had a large party of over 25 and requested the banquet room. We were however told no because otherwise they would have to hire a whole new staff for the back kitchen, we were then set up with 6 tables together and had one server the whole time. Our server did a great job working solo considering the large party. This was a post funeral service meal with family and friends and I think we all had a nice time with good food. Aside from one person in the group, we were not put out or even bothered that we didn't get the larger room as the restaurant was quiet and accommodating to our large group. Food is great and came out hot. Update: I was not previously aware that the restaurant was denied the change in reservation offered to our party organizer - that being said not getting the larger room was not the fault of the restaurant. They were very accommodating to the best of their ability.

Wanted to like this place due to hearing so many recommendations. The salsa that is served is very plain and almost sweet. My plate was cheese enchiladas, carne guisada, tostada and of course rice & beans. The tortillas used for the enchilada were very tough. Never in my life have I had to use a knife to cut enchiladas. Rice was ok and beans were just beans. Neither one stood out. Lastly I’m very sure that the tomatoes on my tostada have turned. There was a definite odor of rotten tomatoes. If I did return I would try the carne guiada plate as that was the best part of my meal today.

Update: Sitting to the left side of the entrance has a strong urine odor. Unappealing and unapetizing. The tripitas were good but the last one was filled with inedible substance that I'll keep to a minimum and let the picture show what was squeezed out of it. They need to be better cleaned out. Waitress was exceptional and provided great service. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Same for the host. Beautiful smiles! The charro beans are not charro beans, they are just ferroles de la ojlla. Mexican rice was not good. Not much flavor, color, and overcooked more than normal. Corn tortilla had a hole in it. Not sure why. Flour tortillas were warm, fluffy, but didn't taste very well. Tasted more of under cooked flour. Smelled good but just needed a little more cooking time. The restaurant does provide a free photo of the experience. I did say, that if it wasn't for the friendly staff, I would have walked away. First time. Elna was great! Even though she was busy, she was very attentive and cheerful! Food was great! Really good! Chicken enchiladas was delicious! Come out! worth it!

Kiko’s is an iconic restaurant in Corpus Christi that we try to visit at least once when we come into town. After years in business, they’ve managed to maintain its quality of food and service. We were able to grab breakfast although we arrived just minutes before the cutoff period. Our waitress was busy but she checked on us often and made us feel welcomed. The parking lot was full but we found parking. It’s great that a restaurant this size has plenty of parking for its customers. The restrooms were clean as well as the dining area. Oh, their tortillas are delicious-that’s always a plus for a Mexican restaurant!
